Westinghouse Lighting 5312700 9 5 60 Watt Equivalent Omni A19 Bright Energy Star LED Light Bulb Medium Base

I wanted to brighten up a bathroom after a remodel and was not finding what I wanted either in the home improvement stores or at many online lighting stores either. I came across the Westinghouse 9.5 watt (60 Watt equivalent) LED lights and am very pleased with the outcome. The color temperature -- Warm White (3000 Kelvin) -- is just what I wanted to improve the overall bathroom lighting without the yellow of 2700K or glare of 4100K or higher. This bulb was packed just in its retail cardboard container, in a large Amazon box with another item which was very heavy and not secured from movement. The container looked pretty banged up; upon opening it, the bulb was in perfect condition! It has been on and working fine 24/7 for the five days since it arrived. It seems as bright as the 9.8 watt warm white LED that it replaced, but it is 6w. If it lasts a year (being lit 24/7) it will pay for itself in energy savings. Read more

My dimmable lightbulb went out in my hallway and fo the last month I have been buying from Walmart, Lowes and others. The bulbs had very little light. This one however lit my hallway up super bright just like I wanted it to. I am so happy I have found it and now know where to buy if needed. Love it!!!! Read more

Changing over to LED lights and this lamp we are using finally gave up on the old incandecent bulb. So, in goes an energy efficiant LED bulb. We chose this one because it was a major brand that we know and trust. Like any bulb you just unscrew the old and screw in the new. It lights as soon as the switch is thrown. It is quite bright for a mere 9.5 watts. LED lights tend to use small amounts of energy but give off great amounts of light. This is advertised for use within the house. I was expecting it to have a warmer glow but was a little disappointed by its harshness. It is a very bright and overpowering bulb. Fortunately we have a lamp shade to dull it down some. If it is to be place behind a clear or glass shade you might want to avoid this one. But... as an outdoors porch light it wouldbe perfect. Read more

I’ve started buying only name-brand (GE, Sylvania, Westinghouse) bulbs for my house. They are so much better than the cheap ones, which often flicker at low (and occasionally high) settings of the dimmers. Very well worth the money. Read more

The packaging claims these bulbs will last 22 years. Your mileage may vary. I just replaced one that made it 2 years and 4 months with normal off and on everyday use. I like that I can increase the brightness in my fixtures while using less power, but these are truly expensive when you consider the real lifespan of the bulb. Read more
