We needed something with white noise for bedside in our kids' room and the night light was a huge plus! There's tons of sound options and the light is perfect, not too bright and has different color options. We've had some trouble with setting alarms but it hasn't been a huge deal. I will say that it took some time getting used to the touch screen. At first I didn't like it but now its second nature! It's very intuitive once you get used to it. I might ask myself was it worth spending the money on? Maybe. It is one of the very few impulse purchases I've made, something that popped up on my home page as a targeted ad. The device looks like a big cousin to my black Echo Dot (Generation 1) with the light ring moved to the bottom, and kind of fun to juxtapose the two generations of tech. And it is a cool visual, something decorative, but I don't actually use it much. I was already familiar with using nature sounds on the Echo Dot, but this sounded like a welcome improvement over having a discussion about it with Alexa every time. "20 soothing sounds." It's twenty if you want a sound machine that hopes to be everything to everybody. I'm not looking for brown noise (not to be confused with baby brown noise). I don't want to be lulled to sleep by the sound of a vacuum cleaner. And heaven forbid Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. So that leaves me with six natural sounds plus a train. You would have your own favorites. The proximity sensor is a bit too sensitive for my taste - the minimalist time display on a black puck is interrupted by a full control panel if I so much as think about it. But the dimmable light ring lets it range to whatever night light brightness suits you. So more than once I've asked myself was it worth my $15? (Today I'd be asking about $23.) Factoring in inflation, I don't think I was overcharged. It's growing on me. Just realize there will be settings you never use, even if you are partial to vacuum cleaner sound over thunder. Likewise, I'm not going to use some of the buttons and you'd not use others, so maybe there is something for everybody. It's a cool piece of art - I change the light color when the mood hits me. Loved it so much I bought one for my son. However after having it for about a month the alarm stopped going off in the mornings. After much problem solving, found no fix. Shortly after mine stopped working, my son’s alarm clock started doing the same thing. I would not have left a review if it were only mine. But two of two stopped having a functional alarm only a month after purchase. Very unfortunate, was a great way to wake up. Read more

My wife and I love this thing. The noise machine works just as expected. Only problem I had is that it doesn’t alarm if it’s too close to the wall. We had it over our bed head, so I guess the sensor detected the wall and immediately went to snooze. All we had to do, though, is change the location to where there was nothing over it. I spent ages looking for the perfect combination of alarm clock and sound machine. This is as close as I could get. I really like it. It's small so it doesn't take up a lot of room, has a lot of selections of sounds, you can choose from, it can run continuously throughout the night which is an important feature to me, and I like the light color choices, too. The only drawbacks are there is no USB port and the clock is on the top, which is inconvenient when laying down. The controls are pretty intuitive except the alarms, that takes little figuring out. Works for the most part. However, the volume won't adjust for the alarm. I've done a hard reset, tried turning up volume when alarm is ringing, tried volume buttons, nothing works. Read more
