I picked up this hat because I was tired of sweating like crazy while fishing or just chilling outside. It’s got this wide brim that blocks the sun pretty well, and the fans are kinda cool—literally. They run on solar power, so no batteries to mess with, which is nice when you’re out for hours. It’s camo green, which I guess helps if you don’t want to scare off the fish... or look too flashy. The fans kick in when the sun hits ‘em, which is neat, but they’re not super strong. Like, don’t expect a mini hurricane on your forehead or anything. Still, they help a bit when it’s blazing hot. There’s also a USB plug if you wanna power ‘em up when it’s cloudy or whatever, which is a smart move. The hat fits fine, and it doesn’t feel too tight or loose. Pretty comfy overall. Now, a couple things bugged me a bit. First off, the fans are kinda noisy—not like jet engine loud, but if you’re trying to enjoy the peace and quiet, you’ll notice ‘em. And the solar panel makes the top a bit stiff, so it’s not the most flexible hat ever. Not a deal-breaker, just something to know. All in all, it does the job. Keeps the sun off and gives a little breeze so your face doesn’t melt. It’s not gonna win any fashion awards, but hey, it’s not meant for the runway. If you’re into fishing, hiking, or just sitting outside looking like a futuristic explorer, it’s worth a look. Read more
I bought this hat for my husband’s birthday. He is hard to please when it comes to buying a gift. We own 1 1/2 acres of land that he has to mow the lawn once a week. We live in central Illinois and it gets really hot. I hoped he would exchange his sombrero for this hat. We charged the hat up by using the USB cord. The hat does come with easy instructions. How to USB or solar power. He says he can feel a steady breeze on his face. Because it’s solar powered it will run as long as the sun is shining. I chose the camo color which he thought was manly. The fabric is of good quality, the hat fits his head comfortably and worth every dollar. This is his go to hat for all out door summer chores. He loves this hat and tells me so every time he comes in from mowing the lawn. Read more
I have been a bit hesitant in purchasing an item like this because I was afraid of the brim not holding up. I use a similar hat while doing work around the property but the brim always seems to give out. Upon receiving the hat, I immediately noticed that the brim was stout and does not look as flimsy as the picture. The fans work independently of each other and will require the batteries to be charged separately. Upon first use, it was refreshing to have some air circulating around the face in the hot summer. It will be nice to wear and enjoy the fans. I didn't give the hat 5 stars for one reason.... probably petty, but it needs to be known. If you are using the solar panels to operate the fan....just be aware that the fan will only work if the sun is hitting the panels. Yes, if you turn away from the Sun, the fans will turn off. I guess you could only work at high noon so the panels will have constant access to the Sun? I picked this product up on an Amazon deal, so there was some great savings looking at the regular price. I believe it will be worth the purchase though. It's a keeper! Read more

Good concept but bad design. Bought for my husband while he is outside doing yardwork. Husband says its heavier than he would like it to be, the hat makes his head hotter, and the fans turn off as soon as he is not in full sun even after he charges it. I returned it for a full refund. Read more
It was a nice surprise to find that the fans are dual powered with battery and solar. The battery lasts 4-8 hours, depending on settings, so for most people such as myself, the battery is more than sufficient for a day's yard work or hiking. The solar part is a plus to conserve battery. The fan is plenty powerful, and moves quite a bit of air. Read more
