As one may notice from the picture I posted, I configured this keyboard for use with MacOS. For me, there are a number of positives, and only one minor negative. * I prefer the width size of a compact keyboard, but having all the key options of a full sizer keyboard- the Wombat delivers both, if using a somewhat eclectic layout that works well for me. * Keyswitch feel is ideal for my preferences for a mechanical keyboard. Very firm stop, nice rollover, and relatively quiet. * Mechanical design overall is VERY good, I'm an engineer, and particular about that kind of stuff. The main basis for the mechanicals are the top plate, which is solid aluminum, but attention to detail is shown in many regards, including the way the front feet to add inclination work- you pop them out, flip over, and they magnetically connect to the bottom of the keyboard chassis. * Although several wireless modes are offered, I am still a fan of direct connection and not dealing with charging the keyboard- this is provided by the USB connection with a provided USB-C to USB-C and the setting of one switch. YMMV, but the modes available are flexible. > The one "downside" is relatively minor- there is no manual included, and one must use the QR code to obtain a link to the website and manual in PDF form. The manual is needed to configure the keyboard comprehensively. If you don't have a digital phone with camera, that could be a problem... Other than that, this is now my preferred keyboard, and I'll be buying more to equip other computers. Read more

I really liked the feel and most of the layout of the keyboard and thought I'd be able to tweak it. The downloaded software to do that wasn't helpful and the user manual wasn't either. This was turning into a time sink, so I sunk it. Hardware alone would have been a 4 or 5. Read more

I was intrigued by the unique, more compact layout but that was the only thing good about it. Operating it is weird and convoluted key combos for everything. No manual in the box, just a QR code to get the instructions. Couldn't spent 10¢ to give me the instructions? Cheap. Main issues: The keys feel cheap and the action is meh. The whole thing isn't very rigid so keystrokes have an off-putting thonk for the middle keys and none for the outside keys so the "J" feels very different from the "A". Bluetooth disconnects repeatedly. Super annoying. Looks cheap. The box boasts about its dye-sub printed keys, but they look terrible and blunt. Like they were screen printed with a potato. Overall, it looks and works like a $39 mechanical keyboard, not one at $129. Read more

This keyboard seems to have it all. USB-C, Bluetooth, custom Wireless. Full set of keys but in the width of a TKL keyboard so you don't have to stress your right arm for the mouse (for righties). Nice, quiet, low-profile mechanical keys. BUT THERE IS A COMPLETE DEAL BREAKER. I had to return the keyboard because of this. There is an extra key between the '/" and the Enter key: the \/| key! This doesn't belong there. It's there in some European keyboards. In US keyboards, the Enter key is adjacent to '/" and then this backslash/pipe key is above the Enter key. I could NOT type with this extra key being where the Enter key is. It's not like moving the ESC key a little up or left, or moving the Delete key to a different location relative to Backspace. This is an extensively used memory location for a key. So, until they make a version with a normal sized, normal shaped Enter and pipe/backslash key for US users, I've returned this. SO CLOSE, so disappointing. Read more

Anyone who has bought any type of computer in the past two decades knows what I am talking about when it comes to keyboards. They have gradually become almost toy-like. There is nothing to them and the key switches went completely away like the dodo bird:) This Wombat keyboard brings it all back and the a lot more!! The finish is hard to appreciate in a picture, but it has an amazing feel. It looks like it has a bullet proof top. Some things I really like about this so far, is that it literally connect to 5 devices. So for me, I have it connected to my laptop, desktop and my iphone. Only have to select from one of the three bluetooth connections. It also comes with a USB dongle for wireless no setup connection. On top of this wait until you see the backlight LED's. Some very cool patterns and settings. Im still learning about its ability to do custom keys, emojis etc... Read more
