[Dec 2025 - My unbiased review of PENGARO's "USB C Headphones for iPhone 16 17 Corded Headphones Type C Earbuds with Microphone Noise Cancelling, Wired Earphone USB C for iPhone 17 Pro Galaxy A16 A17 S25, Plug in TypeC Headphone, White"] I've got a Samsung Galaxy S25 and have a long flight coming up soon so when I was offered this set of noise cancelling earbuds to review thought I'd like to try them because I have some pricey cordless ones but didn't want to risk taking them on the trip and losing them. So far, I'm very pleased with these earbuds. They're white color, which makes them easy to find in the murky depths of my purse. The cord is about four feet long, so I can leave my phone in my purse, or on the desk or sofa table, and still have some slack in the wire while I'm using them. The in-wire control unit is on the wire leading to to the right earbud, at about mouth level, and it can raise or lower the volume, plus skip music tracks, and hang up or reject phone calls as well. (The instructions are simple and on the back of the box.) I suspect it may vary from one phone to another, but with my S25, pressing the earbuds volume control adjusts the sound level in multiple steps all the way from silent, through barely audible, all the way up to very painfully LOUD and back again. So if I want to use them to help sleep on the plane, they should work well. These are equipped with a USB-C plug that slots into the S25's charging port, so you'll have to charge the phone wirelessly, or wait for a time when you're not using the earbuds. They're 100% 'plug & play' so the first time I plugged them in and said, "Hey Google" and asked it to call my husband as a test, my Google responded and rang my hubby immediately. The quality of the sound was clear in both directions, and two quick, short presses on the control unit did hang up the call, per the instructions. The only slightly negative thing is that the wires seem to pick up and transfer brushing sounds if they brush against anything, or if I touching the wires. Of course that's probably typical for earbuds with very thin wires like this, and when I'm playing music at my usual volume I don't hear the noises anyway. Talking of sound... I confess I'm not an audiophile but the listing says, "Hi-Res DAC chip for zero sound loss" are inside the earbuds. I have no clue about that but music does sounds great, with plenty of bass, treble, and mid-range, and if I listen to podcasts, the people's voices sound very natural as well. Right now, these earbuds are only $7.99 (Dec 29, 2025) and I think they're very good value at that price. Particularly since they include a three different size pairs of silicone ear tips to accommodate big, small, and medium ear canals. Read more
These work perfectly with my iPhone 17. The sound is crisp thanks to the DAC chip, and the microphone is clear for calls. They are very comfortable for long-term wear and the included clip is a nice touch. I’m only giving 4 stars because the cable feels a bit thin and fragile, so I’ll be careful with how I wrap them. I got these as a back up pair of headphones to leave in my car. I'm often taking phone calls in my car, and I refuse to use speaker or to hold my phone. I normally use my bluetooth headphones, but these are a must have "in case of emergency pair". And they have worked perfectly for that! They look just like Apple Headphones, and they function perfectly. I can hear callers crystal clear, and they can hear me as well no issues. They are comfortable to wear, I didn't have to change the ear tips that were already installed. They actually look like they'll hold up and are good quality. Very happy with them! Read more
The wired (USB-C) headphones are comfortable. I like that they come with two extra sets of ear cushions. The cable is very long, which I prefer because sometimes my phone drops off of my bed and lands on the floor (it’s the worst when the headphones get unplugged and my phone starts playing loud music etc…). However, I wear these at night because I wake up a lot and I need something to help me drift off to sleep. Therefore, I can’t use these at night because they are way TOO LOUD. I used the headphones volume adjuster and it was on the bare minimum. One click up from zero and it was too loud for me. I used my phone’s volume and the same problem. So, these are only good for me for day time. I have never had this problem before with any headphones - wired or not. Instructions are included. Read more
I’ve been using these headphones with my iPhone 17 Pro Max, and all the features work exactly as described. The sound quality is clear, the microphone works well for calls, and there’s no compatibility issue at all. They’re also very comfortable to wear—lightweight, snug, and they don’t fall out of my ears even when I’m moving around. The media could not be loaded. I am really enjoying having these earbuds. They really do cancel out a large bit of noise, which was I noticed first while using them. Actually quite impressive for a budget pair of ear buds. The clip is a nice, well thought out touch too. It really helps keep the controls where you want them to easily access the ability to skip a track, use Siri etc. I found that the sound is also really good. I'm not really a sound buff, but didn't have any issues with hearing what I listen to, including calls and audio books clearly. The connection is tight and secure to either my iPad and iPhone. Overall for the price you can't beat these ear buds, highly recommend! Read more
