Used this to install pistons on a Honda F23A1 engine, after I found out the ring compressor I had wouldn't work. I first tried a 3D printed product, that ended with a broken ring. When I got this compressor I realized how it was engineered so it wouldn't allow the rings to expand outside of the land once the piston was inserted. The first one I bought was taller, with a wider mouth, which allowed the ring ends to expand outside the land. Where it would grab the grainy surface, and broke the middle ring, and bent the top ring. So save yourself the headache and expense, and buy the quality product. Read more

The product worked perfectly. It is wide enough on one end that you are able to insert the piston into the cylinder while compressing the compression rings and oil rail rings just enough where it precisely slides in place. My only complaint is that the coating scuffs easily. Read more
I used the tool to install OEM pistons in my 2JZ-GTE bottom end. The taper was perfect and piston and rod combo slid into the bore smooth as silk. the coating on the sleeve is very nice and the box it came in will serve as great protection during storage! Read more
