I purchased the WixGear MagSafe car mount primarily for my iPhone 13, and it works exceptionally well. The magnetic hold is very strong, and once the suction is locked in, it stays firmly in place. This is especially helpful for my job, as I frequently need to remove and place my phone, and this mount makes it quick and easy without requiring clamps or arms. The mount offers 360-degree rotation at the base, and the MagSafe head rotates about 180 degrees, which is more than enough to adjust the viewing angle. I tested it on my windshield and dashboard, and it adhered well as long as the surface was clean and dry. It also comes with a dashboard base, which is a nice addition. I appreciate that it includes a MagSafe ring for phones that don't have MagSafe cases. I even used the included ring on my Samsung S22 Ultra, and it held the phone securely with no issues. After using it for a few days, I have no complaints. It feels solid, reliable, and worth the money. I highly recommend it for both iPhone and Samsung users. Read more

This is a really nice mount. It has a good strong build quality and feel to it. It is not made with cheap materials. And it comes with a variety of doodads to help with the installation, including cleaning pads to help prep the surface, different adhesive pads to choose from, and even a self adhesive metal ring to place on your phone so that it mounts correctly. The one downside for me is that my car has contoured surfaces everywhere, and this really wants a flat surface. I think it will work ok for me because the mount is really robust. But I doubt it would hold up to the 78+ lb claim. And I doubt my dash board would stay in place even if it did. 78 pounds of pressure might be enough to just pull the dash cover off! It is ideally suited to mounting on your windshield or other glass surface. But as I said, this thing is not made cheaply. I get the sense that the pads will hold on to most surfaces. That said, I have not tested it in the summer heat. It is December and I’ll have to come back in 7 months and maybe update this review. I would prefer that it have one extra extension on it. It folds down nicely and unfolds and extends 2-3 inches. If there were one more section/joint in the extension, I would like that a bit better, as it would give me more flexibility on adjusting my phone position. One thing I find to be VERY helpful is that the mount itself does swivel left and right on the dash without repositioning how and where it is attached. And it does so firmly, so that once you get the right angle on your phone, it does not drift. Read more

I mounted this on my over-toilet cabinet, right next to the shower, to function as a phone holder while using the shower. So far, it has GREAT hold! I washed the surface, applied the adhesive base, and applied direct pressure for 60 seconds, before increasing the suction twisting feature. It has successfully held my iPhone 17 Pro Max with case, and has held up to multiple removal pulls and readjustment rotations. The magnetic grip is strong, and the build quality is solid. It has held every position I’ve attempted for it, to find the best positioning for access to the screen while protecting it from the open shower. It doesn’t have the highest range of motion, as compared to my other similar phone mounts, but it is very solid and holds the desired position very firmly. The carbon fiber accents are beautiful, and the materials add to an elevated appearance, compared to cheaper looking all-plastic versions. I highly recommend this as a very sturdy phone mount, and it has a great price point for its looks and functionality! Read more

This mount is sturdy and well made. It includes an optional 3M stick-on pad to achieve a flat surface if the suction cup will not adhere to a textured surface (textured dash). It includes an optional phone magnet if your phone doesn't have a magnet or it isn't strong enough. The mount itself is easy to use, position, and it stores relatively small. It kept my old phone mounted through a case in very windy road conditions, so it's a good mount! If you have a space in your car that will fit the circular base and is relatively flat, this is great option. Read more

Works fairly well. The magnet that connects to your phone is very strong and sturdy, with an intense grip. iPhone cases that have magsafe connection feature will make this even more secure. You definitely don’t have to worry about your phone coming off if you hit a bump! The hinge is nice and stiff, too, so where you set it, it’s going to remain without worry about drooping, even if you have a heavier type of case (or a battery case) on your phone. One issue is that you won’t be able to reuse the stickers it comes with for mounting, even if you need to readjust the device for better visibility. Despite the compact nature of the mount, this is not something you’re going to be able to carry with you, nor redo once set up. Make sure where you want it, is where it’s going to remain! In general, I’m not really keen on using 3M stickers for mounting, as those wear out very quickly. This is especially prevalent if you’re in a climate that is very sunny (as this could heat up the glue and cause it to shift), or very damp (as humidity can cause slippage). If anyone has used those off-brand/after-market Popsocket knockoffs for their phone, you know exactly the trouble this type of glue can cause holding heavier items. The same can be said for “indoor use” Command hooks. If you’re wanting to use the mount in multiple places, what you could do is use really flat velcro stickers instead of the included stickers. They make soft, round ends for furniture that would work well here, and they have a much more durable glue. Just look for “outdoor use” ones. For the price, it’s worth picking this item up. Read more
