It works. It's perfect. You plug it in, add the app, and toggle on and off. This is perfect for basic switch function. It took about 3 minutes for the switch to be recognized in the app. Turn it all the way off /unplug and back on. Search for devices again. It took me a few tries but it showed up and stays connected. It's reliable at turning device on and off. I have bought more of them. I have had other smart plugs and lights. I like this one the best because it's simple. Some things don't need to be made over complicated. If you like simple and it works, then this is for you. Read more

Don't seem to work well consistently with the app

I don't know what it is about these but they don't work well for the backyard. I put them in my outdoor Outlets and for some reason the app constantly doesn't work with them. I need to unplug them and plug them back in again and they might work once or twice but never consistently. I bought two when they were on separate circuits so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
