It works. It's perfect. You plug it in, add the app, and toggle on and off. This is perfect for basic switch function. It took about 3 minutes for the switch to be recognized in the app. Turn it all the way off /unplug and back on. Search for devices again. It took me a few tries but it showed up and stays connected. It's reliable at turning device on and off. I have bought more of them. I have had other smart plugs and lights. I like this one the best because it's simple. I don't know what it is about these but they don't work well for the backyard. I put them in my outdoor Outlets and for some reason the app constantly doesn't work with them. I need to unplug them and plug them back in again and they might work once or twice but never consistently. I bought two when they were on separate circuits so I'm not sure what the issue could be.
