Great! I have been looking at these for years, finally took the plunge for Xmas. They are functional and sharper than most other kitchen knife sets Ive had, and I am the sort of person who has my knives professionally sharpened. Chef knife is one of the best Ive had, two different slicers for different applications, bread knife, pearing knife, santoku knife, and even a tomato knife all very good, very goodquality stuff. Honing steel also good with a nice sturdy grip. Block is a block. Only criticism at all, and its minor, the wood handles were a bit different from what Im used to, but ultimately they offer a sturdy grip even with slippery oily hands. Also I have to warn visiting family members who are not used to sharp blades that even the small pearing knife is very sharp, not really a criticism, but they are sharp right our the box. These knives are rated XX be cause just the sight of you using one may cause unintentional pregnancy in any fertile female. These are the 1965 Harley Panhead Chopper of kitchen knives.
