I removed the ones that came with it-difficult so it’s unlikely to come out on its own-and replaced with a homemade straight piece. Fit was good, didn’t dig into my thumbs. Very adjustable. I found the straps too long but frankly, that makes them more appealing-now they are the perfect length after a quick hair cut. Velcro is strong.
