This is a decent portable monitor, and compares very well in its price range. I did set it side-by-side with a monitor that is double the cost (admittedly, not a fair comparison), and you could definitely see that in this one the colors were a bit more muted, and not as vibrant. However, this WUAWE monitor actually had better sound using its built-in speakers. It had more low end bass (not a ton, of course, but more than the other monitor). It also has a 3.5mm jack for external speakers or headphones. It comes with all the cables and power supply you might need as well. The brightness is ok when it’s turned all the way up. It was easy enough to get set up that I didn’t need the manual. I just plugged it in and it worked like any other portable monitor. The main con is the stand – I just don’t like how the stand MUST protrude in front of the monitor several inches. But, to this brands great credit, this monitor has two (and only 2) VESA mounting holes on the back, so you could mount it to an external stand and solve this problem. Because of that, I’m not going to subtract any stars for the odd stand. Of course, what you’re really getting is the extra 120 pixels of height, since this is 1920x1200, instead of regular HD (1920x1080). This is a great plug-and-play portable monitor, which is really a game changer for my business trips. The kind of work that I do nearly necessitates having two monitors (and honestly, I'm just used to it), so having to work with a single laptop screen while on the road is a nuisance. I was able to get this monitor working within two minutes of taking it out of the box, and it was so easy that I almost felt like it was made for my laptop. Admittedly, I haven't tried anything beyond basic work programs and browsers, but if there is any lag introduced through the monitor, it's minimal enough that I haven't noticed it. Brightness is good, matching pretty well with what my laptop offers. If I did have a criticism, it's that I don't like that it's native resolution is a non-standard 1920x1200, but honestly, that's a small price to pay for having the ability to improve productivity significantly while on the road. This monitor has a really good build quality and clever design. I'm not crazy about these flip-out soft stands - they work if everything goes well, but if the magnets release. everything goes down the tubes very fast. That being said, this is actually a pretty good fold-out case. The monitor has small silicone pads on the bottom side. and these really help hold the monitor in the indents. Oddly enough, this monitor has 75mm VESA mounting holes in it, so I changed my mind about how to use this and I've mounted it next to my home computer as a supplemental monitor. Works great in that capacity. Brightness and contrast are good enough for my work uses - can't speak to refresh rates,etc. All in all, nice design and build quality; very good DPI/resolution (not as good as my 4K monitor, but certainly good enough for secondary use). The WUAWE 16" Portable Monitor is a great monitor for any use case. The large (large for a portable) IPS panel has great image quality, vivid colors and excellent viewing angles. The 1200 vertical resolution is also greatly appreciated whether viewing web pages or Office docs. Connection is easy regardless if it is via HDMI with USB power or a single USB-C providing both signal and power; all of which are included. The magnetically attached stand is just like a standard tablet folio and does a decent job of both protection and support. The awesome feature that this portable monitor has that many don't is the included VESA mounting option which is great if you want to use a stand. Versatility...it's one of the best things this monitor has to offer. I'm thoroughly impressed with everything about it and the price point is more than fair. Read more
