I installed this camera in my front yard to monitor my driveway and gate, and it’s been working great so far. Setup was quick and easy, and I like that it’s completely wire-free with solar charging. Charging is a bit slower during cloudy winter days, which is expected, but I don’t think it will be an issue once summer comes. The video quality is clear day and night, and the pan feature does a great job following people as they pass through the driveway. The app is simple to use and loads fast. This is by far my favorite camera from Wyze! This camera is truly maintenance-free. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks to monitor my backyard area, and the battery level is still above 97% with the attached solar panel, very impressive! I should never need to worry about the battery life for it. The installation is a breeze, super easy, and took me 5 minutes. The image quality is great, and the connection speed is fast. I love the feature that I can pan the camera, and it follows me when I walk around. It’s truly peace of mind. The build quality is very solid, and the price is good. There is a lot that you should know about this product and more, what you need to know about Wyze! Let me begin with I have had Wyze products in and around my home for 4 years. Things worked nicely. Then I thought to add this Wyze Solar Cam Pan POS. Yes, It is a grand POS. I should have read the reviews but instead, I went on my past experience with Wyze. This experience was before you were restricted from speaking to tech support. Today you Get to speak to a poorly trained Philipino, yes, in the Philippines. In the past, I called and got to speak with a real tech support person since inevitably everything is outsourced to another country. I had issues mounting the Solar Cam Pan right from the get go. Read other reviews here and you will find this to be commonplace on this, their most recent release. After a week, I returned my first Solar Cam since there was no tech support. "I'm sorry sir but you cannot speak to the specialists. They do not take calls and they do not return calls." How frustrating! If you have an issue, you are out of luck. So, I returned the first one to Amazon and tried a second Solar Cam Pan. It was totally inconsistent in setting up the Cam with WiFi. I called and got a new agent that has tried to help but has failed miserably. She was going to be my bridge to get help from what seems to be a non-existent Wizard behind the Curtain (in OZ of course). It is now two weeks of waiting for some real tech support. Nothing. I am done. I am returning the second new unit. You buy a product that doesn't work and they are unwilling to help. Be sure to find another company who might actually be there to help you rather than be disappointed waiting for responses that do not come. To sum it up for you. Two separate cameras. Two separate cameras that did not work. Too many attempts to get support. Too many emails that lead nowhere! Too bad! Do not make the same mistake that many have made, expecting a tech support person but they are not allowed to talk to customers that need help! The camera arrived on time and well packaged. Set up and installation was very easy. After setting up the camera I also installed the solar panel about 9 feet away in order to get more sunlight. Again, very easy. The picture quality is wonderful. It appears very bright and colorful on my phone. I love the auto-tracking function. This is a great value in such a small size. It does everything I expected it to do. And, coming from Ring, there's no subscription required for storage. Just insert a micro sd card. Read more

This is a very cool camera. Solar seems to work great. One thing I have noticed is it misses things sometimes and doesn’t record an event. Even on the highest detection settings. I don’t really understand that at all but still, I am able to view things I could not before where I cannot run power. So I would still highly recommend this camera if you are trying to see things from further than you can run power. Read more
