I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 8 years and tried a lot of mats. This mat is one of the best I’ve practiced on. It has an amazing grip which helps to hold your asanas. No sliding hands or feet. In addition, the mat provides a great cushion for your knees, elbow or head. But even though it is thick, it is not heavy which is great. I also like the alignment feature which can help to alight your poses. With a full confidence I can say that this mat meets, if not exceeds, the quality of other leading mat brands that charge two or three times more for their products. I’ve been using the mat for about 1 month now 5 times a week. I tried theee others before this one. Its slip resistance, durability and quality are all great. The only thing I’m disappointed in is the thickness and support. I would have liked it to of been thicker. I have a bad knee so the added thickness would have been nice for tabletop and other poses that you need to be on your knees for. This is more my fault as the description does state the thickness. I especially appreciate the alignment markings to help me make sure I’m aligned properly for the poses. I usually practice Indoors in a soft carpet floor so I always need to use a yoga mat that is tick so I don’t slide with the rug specially if I am practicing inversions . This is a very nice Yoga mat. I had a higher priced Yoga Mat — one of many; I’m a Yoga teacher — and I actually like this mat better. At 4 mm it’s a bit on the thin side, but that’s also a pretty normal thickness. The other mat I was always sliding around on, but this Yoga mat is nice and grippy. It’s attractive and a very nice size. I only rated it 4 stars because there was a very strong smell at first that took weeks to dissipate. Also the price point is a bit high. So maybe not for someone beginning their practice, but definitely great for someone that already practices regularly. Read more
