I was not a fan of coffee. I started to make coffee with my super cheap $10 drip-coffee maker, and it tastes bad for most of the time. I try to add milk to it then it will be too bland. I used to add lots of sugar and made it tastes even worser. I didn't truly appreciate coffee until my friend took me to a restaurant for a cup of Americano, and it was the first time I learnt about Espresso. I'm glad that I could own a "half-"Espresso machine at such a low price, because I know 3 bar is still too low for a "real" espresso, but when I add milk (frothed with steam) it meets my expectation for the coffee that I'd like to drink. And it is just my third time to use this Espresso machine, surprisingly easy to learn and easy to clean. So I don't have anything to complain so far. However, I would like to save a star to see how long this machine will work properly and hopefully I will add this star after a few months. Read more

The mechanism and the filter for brewing coffee is defective; it cannot be 'installed'. When attempting to put it in and turn to 'lock' - you can't. Even with two people, one holding the machine, and one attempting to turn it to the lock position it will not turn. The mechanism can be turned by itself, the filter can be turned by itself. But when combined it can't be turned to the lock position. I contacted the company. ZERO response. Additionally the entire machine is very cheaply made. It's very unstable, the base is not level or even, the unit is top heavy so the unit tips over easily. Given you are working with boiling water, under pressure, this is not a good situation. But hey, the frother worked. As the manufacturer doesn't appear to care about complaints/issues - I would suggest not purchasing from them. Amazon has been contacted for a full refund. Read more

Decent machine. Worked for 2 years. Definitely saved hundreds of dollars with the wife staying away from Starbucks. Espresso not high quality but good enough for a latte. Never could get the frothing wand to work. Spewed milk everywhere every time. And then I couldn't tell how much was in the reservoir after using it. Might be user error though. If you're looking to avoid $5-$8 coffees from cafes, this is a good way to save money. Read more
