for under $10, this is pretty good! i got this for sun protection/to reduce sunscreen use while driving, and may use other times as well like playing volleyball etc. i love the idea of keeping my arms covered while letting my underarms breathe! it's a nice, light, summer-weight cotton-y material (seems like a jersey blend of some sort), and the connection through the upper back keeps the sleeves in place. I previously got separate sleeves and had the issue of them constantly falling down, leaving my upper arms exposed, so the bolero-style of this item completely solves that problem. it's not high enough quality to wear with a nice dress or anything, but for casual purposes it works! in terms of size, I saw other reviewers complain that it runs small so figured it may be perfect for me and it is. i wear a 00 or even 000 and i can stretch the upper back of this piece across my shoulders without it cutting into my arm pits. i tried it over a T-shirt and despite the tight fit across the shoulders, it wasn't annoying or in any way problematic to wear over T-shirt sleeves (thin ones, at least). i have long arms and this fully extends just over my wrists, but any shrinkage would make the sleeves too short, so i do plan to wash with delicates and either hang dry or dry on low. the arms are loose and not fitted whatsoever, but that's fine with me - will probably keep me cooler than tight sleeves would. i typically have an incredibly hard time finding clothing that fits my frame, so i personally really appreciate the sizing but can readily see how many others wouldn't find this suitable. the only things that would make this better for my purposes is if the sleeves were a bit longer and included a thumb-hole. i may see if i can sew on a 6-8" flap to cover the tops of my hands so i don't have to wear separate driving gloves. Very soft! I was worried because it's one size, only in terms on arm length but it's the perfect length. I'm normally size small but order medium for more comfort, and this fits perfectly. Would likely be a little too small for anyone larger than a size large only because it is a tiny garment. Read more

These are NOT Boleros or Shrugs. They are super sheer (I bought the white) and I can see my skin thru them. When you open the package they look like pantyhose with a hole cut in the middle. They're loose and floppy and hang down past the fingers on my hand. The design isn't thought out well as they're too long in the arms. They are just sleeves. They do NOT cover any area on your back, in fact, I'm 5'2", 110 lbs and when I put the sleeves on the back of the garment doesn't hang down to my shoulder blades like THE PICTURE SHOWS - it stretches across the back of my neck. I'm super petite and the garment rides down my arm, showing part of my shoulders. It's a HOT MESS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Read more

It needs to stretch out along the back because it's tight and digs in at the armpit. Read more

I needed this honestly because I work in a medical field and wanted to cover my tattoo's for certain situations. I wanted to stay warm as well in my office since it is cool and a sweater is not always practical when it is 90 degrees outside. I have other sleeves that cover my arm 3/4 of the way and I am not small. I am a plus size woman with very broad shoulders and arms from years of working out, building muscle and had gotten ill which stopped me from that. However I am still not small and this fit perfectly. Like a glove! It takes some movement and stretching to get it situated but once it is, it covered my entire arm and back shoulders to the neck. You can use it under short sleeved shirts or even with a tank. I love it because it also holds in that horrible underarm hang and you can remove it in a minute if you need to change. I have to buy more. Love it! Read more

The arms are fitted on me (for reference, my arms are 12"), but not like compression or active wear (which I'm glad for). For contrast, I have some individual sleeves for a similar purpose: they're restrictive to the point of uncomfortable, don't easily go up past my elbows, and tend to gap from the shirt they're under since they're each a separate piece. They're also a tight polyester which is unpleasant in the heat. But this "bolero" is fantastic (for sun, for modesty, etc). It's lightweight under clothes and in the heat and the modal is breathable. I mostly use it under short-sleeve shirts rather than on top as a true bolero or shrug. For formal occasions, it might be a little simple (and the cut is a little odd around the shoulders — great for a low profile under clothing, but not what I would choose with a strapless gown). All around, great for what I'm using it for. Read more

Concept is great, execution is poor. I wanted this to work!!! but it unfortunately is just not very proportionate. The back is too wide and the sleeves arent lined up evenly on both sides. One side sits differently than the other, the front is too tight and low on my shoulders but the back is too loose and short for the style. I tried turning it around and it still didnt work well. I cant say for sure that this is how all of these are, it is possible I got a defective one (because it wasnt evenly sewn) or it could just be that that is what this things quality is. Either way, I am returning it tomorrow and getting a refund. hopefully that process will go smoothly and quickly. IF the seller reads this, PLEASE work on proper execution and proportions of this item so people can use it!!! :) Looks like a long tube with it cut open on one section. honestly I could have made it myself for under 3$ its that simple of an item. ( was hoping for something a little more effort and complexity put into it, like actual sleeve seams, distinguishable front and back, etc.) Read more
