This sweater is well crafted - material is high quality - although it is not knit so I should not call it a sweater. It is a man hade material with a little shimmer that makes it versatile for day to evening wear. It is a perfect sweater to grab in case a restaurant's AC might be high or to leave at work in case you are chilled. What is nice about it is it won't wrinkle no latter how you throw it in a bag. Perfect for traveling as it will survive being stuffed in a suitcase. It is weighty enough that after washing (I did not put in the dryer) it doesn't even wrinkle then. It came with an extra button in case one falls off but I can tell you I don't foresee it happening because the stitching is tight. Now for the not so great. It is entirely boxy - so if you are slender - great but if you are short and stubby like me - it isn't that flattering of a design - but all in all I am keeping mine in the office so I am always prepared - and since it is basic black - it can go with everything. This cardigan is very smooth and polished looking. It has gold button details that make a nice pop of color on the navy blurb this can be dressed up with dress pants or a skirt or dress or worn for casual. It’s very comfortable and soft but not super soft. It’s not fuzzy and is t like a sweater with fuzz it’s a smoother look. It fits great and was pretty true to size. I got a large and I normally wear large tops. I got this to go over my scrubs we have to wear navy scrubs to work even though we are an office because it’s connected to a hospital corp and it can get cold so I got this to wear over because it’s nice and thick enough to be warm in but not so I’m roasting. It’s not super thin either it’s just right for fall days and in the winter when the office is heated I can through it on. Although it’s a bit classier than something I would add over scrubs but it will do unless I find a more casual look that I like. The blue is your general navy blue and the gold buttons really dress it up.
