In the original packaging, the mats were compressed with a note from the company that they would resume their full size after 6 hours. I left these overnight but didn't notice much change. They are not thick and fluffy, but I wasn't looking for that. I like the deep black color, with a ribbon of design throughout (see pictures). The mats have an anti-skid back, something essential for a rug or mat in the bathroom. I would have liked the bathmat to be a bit larger, and the same for the sink mat. Those are my only concerns.
