I ordered this waterproof, windproof cover for my Outback, not realizing it was for a Forester until I went to write this review. Thankfully, it still fit like a glove. I really love the quality of the material. It's robust while still having slight flex. The seam-work is impeccable. It has zippered entrances for the doors, making it exceptionally convenient. There are straps added for customizing the fit. I love how easy it is to put on and take off, and I can still access the car when covered. If you don't feel like paying for a new paint job, this is a wonderful option to keeping your vehicle protected from the elements. Given the harsh weather conditions here, I decided to invest in a waterproof and windproof cover for my Subaru Outback. However, when I received the cover, I realized it was actually designed for a Forester. To my surprise, it still fit my Outback perfectly, almost like a glove. What stands out most to me is the impressive quality of the material. It feels incredibly robust yet maintains a slight flex, which allows it to withstand strong gusts without tearing. I’m using this large car cover on a classic car that stays parked outside, and it’s been doing its job well so far. The material feels thick and durable without being overly heavy. I can put it on and take it off by myself without much effort, which matters when you’re dealing with a larger vehicle. The fit is good overall. It covers the entire car, including the bumpers, and doesn’t feel like it’s stretched tight or barely making it. Once it’s on, it stays in place. Wind resistance has been one of the bigger improvements compared to cheaper covers I’ve used in the past. Even on windy days, it doesn’t flap around aggressively or shift off the car. I’m not constantly going outside to fix it after every gust or storm. UV resistance is another reason I went with this cover. The car gets a lot of direct sunlight, and I wanted something that would actually protect the paint and interior. After leaving it covered for extended periods, there’s been no noticeable fading or heat damage. The cover blocks the sun well and keeps the car noticeably cooler underneath. It also does a good job keeping dust, pollen, and debris off the car. When I remove the cover, the car is clean and looks the same as when I put it on. I have to keep two cars outside in the weather, so I keep them covered and they stay covered most of the time. I've tried really expensive, cheap and in-between covers. None of them last more than two or three years exposed to the Sun and heat here in Texas. The more expensive ones usually last a season or three longer and I had that one last three years, but it cost 4 x the cheapest one that lasted almost a year. What I've learned the hard way is that the cheap ones can cause paint damage - hazing mostly - on the hood, top and trunk where the cover sits on the paint. The problem is very fine but gritty dust getting through (via surface film cracks or porous weave) or blown under the cover and being constantly rubbed between the cover's bottom layer and the paint. I think the better covers prevent that penetration and the bottom layer fabric works better to hold the dust that winds up underneath the cover away from the paint. This cover appears to have a tightly sealed upper surface, no water leaked through during a heavy rain. Unless this material becomes frayed or cracked no dust will penetrate it. The underside fabric the touching the paint is a non-woven brushed material, like a short fleece, bonded to the upper layer fabric. This fabric should catch and contain some dust that get through cracks in the upper fabric (acting like a filter) and catch and hold some dust away from the car's surface if it gets through the upper fabric or blown under the cover. Other features that stand out on this cover is a zippered opening on both sides - if that feature is present it is very rare to provide a zippered opening on both sides. There are tie down straps at the wheels and a strap running underneath the vehicle. I did notice the reflective tape on the cover is sewn on with two lines of stitches, but they are not along the edges of the tape each line is about ⅓ the tape width away from the edge, so only the middle ⅓ of the tape is sewn down onto the cover. I have no way to rate the fit of this cover, my car, a Mercedes E350 wasn't listed, but the E350 is about the same width and length as a vehicle that is listed, a 2026 Toyota Camry, and that is what I ordered. The cover does fit my E350, but as I expected, it's not a tailored fit; I don't know how well it would fit the Camry. Until I have more knowledge of how durable this cover will be, I'm rating it four stars. Read more
