I really like this mat; the grip is excellent, and it lies flat without any wrinkles. It offers great traction without being soft and spongy like cheaper mats. However, I did notice some spots where the cork is already flaking off. The thickness of the cork is just right, softer than cheap rubber mats but much heavier. This mat is not one you would take to a yoga class. It folds without creasing, and while there was a slight smell when I first unpacked it, airing it out overnight resolved that issue. The grip remains solid, even when my hands are sweaty. The rubber bottom prevents slipping on various surfaces. I had a good grip for both my hands and feet, and cleaning it is easy with a damp paper towel. It also comes with a strap for carrying. However, it is too heavy to transport frequently. The color was pleasant, and the design is nice. At $63.00, it is a significant investment, so you'll want to ensure you have the space for it, and that added padding is something you are looking for. I was looking for something to lay out in my spare bedroom, so it is worth it to me. Read more

PROS: - Love that it's eco-friendly and works better than the standard yoga mat! - Slighty longer than the standard. I am a petite female and this is just right for me. I always felt that the standard ones were too short. I guess I move around during my yoga sessions. - Because of its thickness, it lays flat quicker, but does stay curled a little. - Nice to know that sweaty palms are needed for better grip, as opposed to the standard mat where you may start to slip. Great for hot yoga workouts! - Comes with a free gift the foot/arm stretch thing. (Drawing blank to what it's called) - Insert states I was a lucky winner of a free yoga towel. Came in the mail super quick!! NEAT!! Loving it!! CONS: - Does not include tie, which would be really helpful. I had to use one I already had. - Not so light... Kind of heavy and not so great for carrying lugging around as the standard ones, but not unmanageable either. - The mad did scratch right away on the first use (pictured) with my feet. As long as the cork doesn't start falling off, I'm okay with some wear. Time will tell. - Rubberish smell but not too strong. (I have a sensitive nose) - First delivery stated I was the winner of a Yoga towel, and when they sent that, it had another insert that I was a winner of something else, when I entered the info (not to be greedy, but to see if they would send it or if it was a flaw on their part.) It was a flaw on their part. So they need to be more cautious about those inserts... So just beware... NOTE: I did not get any kind of notice of it being an error, or if I did, it got lost in the sea of emails or spam folder. Read more

The YOGA DOOD Cork Yoga Mat arrived in a sealed box. The box was damaged but the mat was sealed in thin plastic and arrived with no visible damage. The box contained the Yoga mat, a promotional card, and the product overwrap label. The YOGA DOOD mat feels solid and well-made. I measured and confirmed the measurements as 72” X 26” in length and about 4 mm in thickness. This matched the dimensions provided in the Amazon listing. I tested this mat in two (2) different conditions. I do limited stretching in the mornings and also do push-ups and sit-ups at that time. On carpet, the mat was comfortable and my feet had better traction than when I work-out directly on carpet. On a tile floor, I could feel the hardness of the tile and it was not as comfortable as when I used it on carpet. My wife does Yoga on a daily basis and she often uses two (2) mats together when she is on a hard surface. Here are some comments from my wife after using this mat for her daily Yoga routines. The yoga mat is thin, so it did not have much padding for kneeling yoga poses on hard floor surfaces, no different from other yoga mats. The cork yoga mat is fine when placed on carpet. Not much different from the other yoga mat, as both provide sufficient padding. The cork yoga mat is firmer, which makes it easier for yoga balance poses, such as the tree pose on one leg. Cork is a natural product, so one can assume it is eco friendly. It wiped off easily with a damp paper towel afterwards. The extra length of this mat might be helpful for taller people. Also, this mat is a bit heavier than my other mats, but not enough to cause a problem. I also compared the YOGA DOOD mat thickness to three (3) other Yoga mats my wife uses. The YOGA DOOD mat, at 4 mm, was consistent with the thinnest mat my wife uses. She also has mats that are about 5mm and 7mm in thickness. After completing a workout, the YOGA DOOD mat was easy to roll up. Read more
