I've had a mat (an expensive one) that has been my baby for over 10 years. It was worth the money (my now hubby had the budget back then), but it was wearing out. I was slip sliding doing standing wide legged forward folds and downward dog, etc.., where I didn't used to. Any yoga/pilates was also getting very hard on my wrists and actually ankles and feet too. When I saw this much thicker yoga mat, I was so ready to try it. I've been nursing a broken ankle, so it took me a minute. With that still in mind. I have been using both sides of this mat (both are about the same anti-slip to me, not sure which side is for which, but I haven't been able to do enough to get really sweaty yet. I have been doing slow, but moves that would really test it). Success!! I have been able to do long held downward dog with absolutely no slipping and long held standing wide legged forward fold, again with absolutely no slipping (I mention those moves in particular because they were where it was so hard for me to stay still with my other mat anymore). Both practices were so nice with no wrist pain!! (shocker. I didn't know it was an issue that could be fixed by changing mats). Only a little ankle pain - but that is for other reasons. I do feel I was able to do more than I wouldn't have been able to. I have no idea about the "thermoplastic elastomers". I have never even heard of that and hope its safe in the long run. But I believe the benefits totally outweigh what I haven't researched. On the size, even tho I am used to a wider mat, this one still fit all my needs. I found I didn't need the extra space. A lot of yoga mats come with a strap, but this one is actually use-able!! An extra bonus. I couldn't be happier and feel this is a very good value. Read more
This mat is thicker than other mats I've tried and seems like it's great quality. It comes super tightly rolled up so it makes sense the one end would curl up (as stated in other reviews) and not lie flat when first taken out of the package. I rolled it loosely the opposite way and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Problem solved! I store this rolled up with the convenient attached strap, and don't have to flatten out the end each time. It's very anti slip and the extra padding is nice for stepping/ jumping moves, while not being too plush at all. I use this for various workouts and it's been great. I think it's a tad pricey for a yoga mat though, hence the 4 stars. Read more
I’ve always used a soft foam camping pad for my floor exercises at home – soft but not supportive. I jumped at the chance to try this yoga mat instead. It arrived tightly coiled, and it's taking a while to uncurl the tightest end, but it’s still quite usable. It’s comprised of two sections adhered together. The top is thinner than the bottom, and seems to be firmer as well. It has a very faint texture to keep your bare feet stable. The bottom is thicker and softer, presumably to absorb more pressure. It has a stronger textured pattern that makes the mat be non-skid. There's only a slight rubbery odor from the black side, that's not noticeable when using the mat. The carrying strap is an efficient design, with the two end loops made of wide elastic and the handle made of a sturdy nylon webbing. The elastic stretches enough that you don’t have to coil the mat as tightly as when it arrived. That would be helpful if you don’t want to “fight” your mat after toting it to a yoga class. I’m only using my mat at home, so I’ll probably keep it flat under the bed between my sessions. I appreciate the firm support and steady footing on this mat while exercising. It’s even comfortable on my backbone when curling up from a supine position. This Onlyhe yoga mat is priced competitively with other mats and, now that I’ve tried it, I can tell the foam is a superior quality that’s sturdy, comfortable, and poke/tear-resistant. It’s a great value for your investment! Read more
I was really looking forward to trying the ONLYHE Yoga Mat because it’s 8mm thick. I’ve only used 6mm mats (or thinner) before, and the extra cushion makes a big difference. I was not disappointed—this mat is very comfortable, especially during floor exercises and sit-ups, which can sometimes bother my back. With this mat, my back felt well-supported and pain-free. I also love the dual-color and dual-texture design. Each side has a different grip pattern, and both seem equally effective. The tan side even matches my carpet and hardwood nicely, which is a bonus! The size is just about perfect—2 feet wide and almost 6 feet long, so I never feel like I’m running out of space. It also comes with a sturdy carrying strap that makes it easy to transport or hang up when not in use. Another pleasant surprise: there was no strong chemical smell when I opened the package, which is something I’ve run into with other mats. The ends were slightly curled at first, as expected, but they flattened out within about 24 hours. Overall, this is a comfortable, well-designed mat that feels like great value for the price. Highly recommend for yoga, Pilates, stretching, or home workouts! Read more

This is a nice yoga mat for exercise or to bring to the gym for a yoga class. It has a handy black strap that helps you coil up the mat and transport it to class or store it in your closet. I liked the color of the mat. My only issue with it was that it was pretty stiff. There wasn't a lot of cushion on that. Other than the mat is a reasonable price and looks great. It will come with me to the gym. The mat is high-quality and is very long to full stretch out on. Read more
A mat with enough cushioning. The 8mm thickness is great for joints, and it is genuinely non-slip and anti-tear. Perfect for yoga and general workouts. Very durable. Read more
