I had been wanting an inexpensive bagged to make a quick cup in the mornings and afternoons, nothing fancy but most everything was lackluster and disappointing. Came across Yorkshire Gold by recommendation and the moment you brew it, you can tell even for a dust and fannings bagged option this is on another level. It steeps into a beautiful, dark, coppery color and has a rich, malty aroma that generic tea bags just don't have. The flavor is exactly what I was looking for: robust, full-bodied, and incredibly smooth, with absolutely no bitterness or astringency, even if you let it steep for a little too long. It's the perfect tea to stand up to a splash of milk, which brings out its rich character even more. This has become an integral part of my morning routine and one I've been using for years and years now. If you want a truly satisfying, no-nonsense cup of black tea, this is the one. Read more

Delicious slightly malty, slightly honeyed blend of teas for a good morning (and afternoon...) cup. I buy a lot of tea and hunt down small suppliers and unique loose teas. My favorite tea is Golden Yunnan. Assam works well but is a little harsher for me. This is great quality for a bagged tea blend and a great everyday, portable workhorse from a reliable and well-known tea company. It's definitely a more nuanced cup and less harsh than the red box (for that one, I need milk). This size is a great value for the nice quality of the tea blend. As much as I would love to drink loose leaf golden monkey Yunnan daily, my budget disagrees. Read more

I was using Yorkshire Red in the morning and it’s a very good tea, but then I switched to Yorkshire Gold and it is the BEST. Smooth, no bitterness, delicious. Freshman year of college, my British room mate swore by Yorkshire Gold and she was so right. Read more
