Im 5'7 and most yoga mats are a waste of my time. They are small and thin providing no comfort on a hard floor. THIS mat is not that. Its bigger by a lot! Longer, wider, thicker than any mat I've bought. I love this thing. Even my yoga instructor was impressed with the thickness. Its heavy enough to lie flat without rolling. It comes with a carry bag and strap so you can carry it how you'd like. The bag is cheap and tore completely the first time I put the mat back into it. Im okay with that but it's important to know because initially I liked the bag and planned to use it. I'd be upset if it hadn't come with the carry strap for the mat. Highly recommend especially if you are a bigger person and are sick of the tiny things made for tiny people. I'll never use another mat. I got this because it is longer and wider for my long legs and arms, but it is not slip resistant for someone who has sweaty hands. The strap for the bag broke the second time I used it to carry the mat, resulting in me needing to spend more money to buy a new bag. I do not think the mat and bag quality justify the price of the purchase, but the mat is comfortable and has guidelines to help with alignment and positioning yourself. Read more
