I purchased these directly from Amazon and the gloves are as pictured. They are constructed well and very rugged. They were fairly stiff at first but no more so than any other brand of thick work gloves. These gloves were recommended to me by a firefighter at an extrication class and I totally agree they are extremely functional and provide exceptional hand protection. The day glow color and reflective fabric make them easy to find if you set them down while you're working in the dark. Consult the size chart before purchasing. I normally wear an XL but these fit a little tight. They work, but if I get another pair I'll be going up a size. All in all I'm very happy with these gloves. Read more

Well - I got them for my chainsaw work and they are built well and seem tough. We'll see how long they'll last. What I plan to do is use them for the cutting, but change to cheaper, heavy leather for moving the wood so I don't wear them out like I did my last pair of husky gloves. These have 'bumpers' on the fingers and backs so they can make it a tight squeeze to get inside handles and things - but if you want or need protection then these look like they're perfect. I can get them inside my Stihl, Echo and Husky chainsaw handles so I'm fine with that. I also won't lose them in the woods because they are BRIGHT, lol. Which is actually a good thing. They also don't seem to make my hands sweat as bad as my last pair of chainsaw gloves which had more leather and a different material - this is also a good thing. So far - great! Read more

Run true to size. My husband usually needs Large gloves and did in these also. I bought these for use with his chainsaw. Wanted protection in BOTH gloves. So far they have been great work gloves in all yard work uses including snow blowing. He likes the “load” color. It makes them easy to find when you put them down outside. They are insulated so they are better for use in Spring, Fall and part of Winter. Depending on where you live. I wouldn’t think you’d like to wear them in the hottest days of Summer. Read more

I have been getting by with intermediate level leather utility gloves, and since our local big box stores no longer sell either of my old favorites, and I continue to do more tree trimming and cutting with a chainsaw; I was on the hunt for a bit more protection. Having looked at several brands of "chainsaw gloves" and always seeing how only part of one hand gets a bit of protection, I researched other puncture and cut protection gloves and I found these that give a variety of protection levels to both hands. I purchased XL even though I probably could have gotten away with an L; as I wanted to make sure they'd be easy enough to get in and out of and allow the dexterity that I want. I have used motorcycle kevlar lined gloves in the past that lead to poor circulation and cold hands, despite gloves typically keeping hands warm. By going XL, the bit bit of breathing room is nice. Dexterity is good. And, if there ever were an injury, I don't want to a struggle getting a glove off. So far I love them for the chainsaw work and some demolition & construction stuff I have done on the weekends. My mechanics gloves stick around now for the small stuff. Hope these heavy duty gloves serve me well for years to come. Recommended. Read more

I do blacktop paving and my job can be murderously difficult. I was buying 40.00 pairs of gloves off of Amazon to protect my hands and they would only last me a month before I destroyed them. Amazon replaced them but I continued to search for a tougher glove. So far I have settled on these. I was actually able to get a few full months out of these. The Kevlar is falling apart after a few months and the cuff is ripping apart from taking the glove on and off but it’s still hanging in there and fully functional and protective. All of the other gloves I purchased from name brand companies fell apart even worse, and faster than this pair. I recommend these. They are truly heavy duty. Read more

Very comfortable gloves. I used them for tree work, climbing, and trimming. The grip is great, I can hold and use a chainsaw, handsaw, insulated pruner poles, and carabeaner clips like I'm not even wearing gloves. These are the only gloves I have found that I can hold onto a pruner pole without it sliding around with no real control. They are starting to fray out in some places but no real damage, it's been about a week. If they fall apart I will update review for how long they lasted but so far so good. Read more

The cuffs on these gloves ruin the product. What was Youngstown Glove thinking? Yeah lets put cuffs for a very small person on an XL Glove. Don't waste your time or money on these gloves if you have large hands. They are absolutely useless. I sent in for an exchange...what's amazing is they sent the replacement before they even got the return...great customer service does NOT make up for an improperly made product. The first pair I got had a cuff big enough for my right hand. The exchange pair was even WORSE. Why not put Velcro cuffs on the gloves or make them with openings that match the hands of the person who will wear them? Read more
