Really happy with this rice cooker. My main reason for buying it was the bowl is ceramic coated rather than lined with a non-stick coating. The rice does not stick at all and the bowl is super easy to clean. I have a 2 person household so mostly do the 1 or 2 cup rice cooking options, which have both worked out great! The cooker is not very heavy and has a handle so it is easy to move anywhere you need it, which works great for me since I do not have a dedicated counter space for it, I just move it to my table when I need to use it. I recently purchased the Yum Asia Sakura Rice Cooker, and I’m generally impressed. The rice cooker looks fantastic and the ceramic bowl is a nice touch - it seems to be non-stick, which is a great feature. However, I’ve heard a few negatives from other reviews, so I’m making sure to take extra care when cleaning it to help ensure it lasts a long time. My only real issue is with the buttons. They’re quite finicky, especially the power button. I often have to press them multiple times before they register, which can be a bit frustrating. On the plus side, I’ve only used it for cooking brown rice so far, and it has come out perfectly every time. My go-to ratio is 2 cups of rice to 4 cups of water, and it yields great results. My girlfriend is Korean and I'm Persian, and we always had two rice cookers: one for Persian style rice with crust (tadig) and one for sticky Korean rice. This rice cooker is replacing them both. It is extremely easy to use and clean. The inner pot is ceramic instead of thin Teflon and that makes all the difference. Heat is distributed perfectly through the pot and there are no burned or under cooked spots anywhere. It also makes a great tadig... not a single grain of rice is burned or discolored. It takes twice as long to cook Persian rice but it cooks it to perfection. Grains are long and separated and have a great texture. It doesn't need a rag to wrap the lid in to prevent the steam from leaking back in the pot and make the tadig soggy either. It's a one touch set-it-and-forget-it and we love it. It's also very good looking on the counter and it's perfectly sized. I'd recommend this to anyone from any rice culture. Read more
