Sleep is important. A very high percentage of our lives is spent sleeping. Quality of sleep is an extremely important factor to overall health. Don't scrimp on your bed, your mattress, your sheets/comforters and most definitely not your pillows. I have purchased the king size for myself and the queen size for my parents. Have been using them for a couple weeks. Pros: They do not lose their shape, at least not so far. They feel very firm, almost hard, when you first put your head on them, but then after a couple seconds you realize that your whole head has sunk down into the pillow and it's EXTREMELY comfortable. I was asleep faster than you can say "Zzzzzzz". Great for my neck too as it's very supportive evenly distributes the weight of your head. About 30 seconds after you get up, you notice the pillow is back to it's full shape, as if your head had never been on it. The z-gel works. It is infused throughout the pillow but there is a z-gel "coating" on one side only, and that is where the heat-draw is most effective. This is the side you should put your face on. Even with the velour case the pillow comes with, a waterproof case on top of that, and my pillow case on top of THAT, I can still feel the z-gel gently drawing heat away from my face. I love it. No more overheated face problems ( I can't stand heat when I sleep ). Granted, it's not like having an air conditioner blowing full blast on your face but you can definitely feel the gentle and effective heat draw. This pillow comes with a very nice, very thin but NOT waterproof velour cover. High quality material. Cons: You cannot wash this pillow directly like in a washing machine. You can "spot clean" it with a warm washcloth, but that's about it. You would NEVER submerge it in water. So I VERY VERY highly recommend that you put a waterproof encasement over the pillow. I purchased this: "Luna Premium Hypoallergenic Bed Bug Proof Zippered Waterproof Pillow Protector" which provides a high quality, thin, waterproof, washable cover for the pillow. So first I put on the the thin velour cover the pillow comes with. Then I put on the waterproof liner from Luna. Then I put on my pillowcase. That way, short of a dog or cat ripping something to shreds, my pillow is completely protected from routine drooling or whatnot during the night. Yes, you droolers know who you are. The con part, as I see it, is that the velour cover that the pillow comes with really should be waterproof, in my opinion. But buying the waterproof cover from Luna was inexpensive and extremely effective solution. Nothing ever gets through to the pillow itself. Not a real con, but because the z-gel coating is only on one side, once you get the cover, a waterproof cover over that, and then your pillowcase on it, you can't really tell which side has the z-gel coating on it. So I always pay attention to where the zippers are when I put the cases on. I make sure the zippers are to the left and closest to the foot of the bed when closed and the z-gel is on top when the zippers are in this position. Read more

This pillow is tall and firm yet comfortable, exactly what I've been looking for for a long time. I've been through many "high loft" thick pillows that start out nice and thick but after only a minute or two my head would sink...sink...sink until my mouth and nose were buried in the pillow and I couldn't breath. I'm a side sleeper and wanted a pillow several inches thick that stayed that thickness all night, this pillow does. It starts out really cool and, for the most part, stays that way all night. If it does start to get a little warm, it's a really long pillow so you can just scooch it or move over a little one way or the other and it's fine again. It's also VERY heavy and I'm hoping that's a testament to it's quality and longevity, if you got in a pillow fight with it you could knock a grown man off his feet if he wasn't prepared to be hit with it (not exaggerating) Is this pillow worth $120 bucks? Before I bought it I'd say WTF? No pillow is worth that but now I say it is to me since I've found no other pillow as tall and solid yet so very comfortable. Hard to put a price on comfort but if you can swallow the price I would highly recommend buying this, it's well worth the money to me. Read more

I got this pillow because my old memory foam one was starting to break down. It already feels like it broke into two parts. So I was on the look for a new pillow. The thing is I was tired of getting the same old junky ones. I wanted to get a nice one so I went out looking. Another factor was keeping my head cool. I found that my head stays hot at night some nights and can be annoying. So after I came across this one I felt maybe I wouldn't have to worry anymore. The first one I got was a high loft? it was way to tall and so my neck started to hurt after using it once or twice. So I sent it back and waited a while hopping this one would go down in price but after a while I got tired of waiting and just went for it. So first off its comfortable for a pillow, its a type of memory foam. It also has a gel surface on one side. I presume this is the side that your meant to sleep on because after I got it the first day it was nice and cold (because of being outside in a box). Then it has a soft fabric cover that goes over it. I then put a pillow case over that. Unfortunately with 2 types of covers over it it doesn't really keep my head cold but I don't want to sleep on the memory foam. I might try just a pillow case in the future but then I would have an extra soft cover laying around, or I could just use the soft cover it comes with and get it dirty and have to wash it all the time. There was also a mention of smell which I encountered but it stated to leave in the sun for a day or two? for it to go away. I also let it sit with some fresh air and it seemed to go away. It's still comfy but not very cool, I could try and put a cold pad on it before bed but that would only be a temporary solution for right when I go to bed not while im sleeping. Pros: 1. Memory foam support 2. Comfy 3. Nice size 4. Cool to the touch but only if you don't have any covers covering it. Cons: 1. Doesn't really keep my head cool like I would like (probably cause of the pillow cover). 2. Had a bit of a smell but went away after following directions so not much of a con 3. Price. Was a bit pricey All in all it's still a good pillow, but im gonna have to be on the look out for another pillow that will keep me cool. And yes iv already looked at the other ones out there. Iv done my research but ill have to do more in the future. Read more
