This is a really cute cover-up skirt. The material is light and flowy and perfect for summer. I wasn't really planning on wearing it with a swimsuit as I don't do the kind of stuff you do in a swimsuit anymore. I was planning to wear this as a skirt with a slip underneath, with a few decorative pins to close up some of the slit that goes all the way up to the waistband. It's of decent quality. There was one flaw. When I put the skirt on the first time, it was almost immediately uncomfortable. I got the right size. It fit well. I went by the size chart, so I didn't think that was the cause of my discomfort. I have a pair of shorts with this type of waistband and they're comfortable. This kind of waistband will dig into your skin and create indents (like any elastic), but that wasn't the cause of my discomfort. Looking more closely at the skirt's seams, I found that the elastic sewn in at the very top of the waistband was twisted up. I was able to get it set correctly and then I added some stitches, sewing the elastic to the skirt fabric, to avoid the issue in the future. Read more
