Fabric is polyester, but doesn't feel plastic-y, color is true and shirt is not see-through (the double lining helps!), there is even darting at the bust so it's not just shapeless/a square with a neck hole. Unfortunately for me, the sizing didn't quite work out. The small was too big, so I ordered an xtra-small, which fit better but was a little too tight in the chest/shoulders. If I had loved the bow front & color as much as I expected to, I probably would have kept the extra-small, but I felt ambivalent with it on so I returned both.
