They will however, keep my feet nice and toasty as house shoes that I can wear down to the mailbox, or to the trash cans and any other quick errand outside in snow (or winter!). I plan to reinforce the water-resistance (-proof?) that is claimed to be sure. As for size, I ordered size 11, but frankly I did not really expect them to fit like 11s but they in fact do. I won't be able to wear big, thick socks with them as the fit is too close, but I can wear them without my toes getting squished. If your size allows I would order up a half or a even full size, and plan to wear thick socks. I did give these cute boots 5 stars despite the negatives, and that's because they seem well constructed, the size 11 actually fits my size 11 feet, and the sole seems pretty thick with a good grid pattern on them for a pair of fashion boots and best of all, they are priced fairly for what they are.
