This is perfect for our camping needs! tested it at home to make sure it worked and how fast it heated, and it was faster than expected, taking about 3 minutes to come to a boil. So excited! Cant wait to use it on our next trip, it has a good size, not heavy at all, last trip we were craving soup (it was very cold) but only had a pan for cooking. Based upon the price and reviews, I bought this to heat up broth in a hotel room prior to surgery. I tested it out by heating up a pint of a creamy chicken soup. It started bubbling within two minutes, but required frequent stirring. It worked well, but was not faster than if I had put the soup in a pot on the stove. My son made instant ramen in it, and he found it fast and convenient. He also said it tasted better than when he would make it in the microwave, and the temperature was perfect. This is an amazing little pot. I use it for ramen. It’s perfect size for one person. It’s durable. Keeps food warm. Food tastes good. Easy instructions. You do have to turn it off yourself it does heat up quickly. Dont leave it unattended. It’s tricky to wash because you can’t get submerged it in water and the bowl doesn’t come out. I use this electric hot pot multiple times a week because it is so hard to cook for one single person! The key is to turn it off when it starts boiling and 5ish-mins later, turn it back on or else it will boil over but I am totally fine with that because a purchased one before that looked and was shaped like a sauce pan with a stick style handle but the internal wiring literally started burning and smoking during the first use so I was forced to return it.
