Believe me, this thing is heavy. Not like lifting up a dumbell or barbell. You will be able to lift up heavier weights, but this vest is wobbly to put on. So had to take a few weight bags out, which I intended to do anyway. I'll be adding more weights back along the training. Built quality seems sturdy and strong enough to withhold the weight. Shoulder pads are comfortable. It feels like wearing a bulletproof vest - if you like that stuff you know what I'm saying. Was planning on taking to the gym, but it does look like a bomb vest so won't be doing that. use it for hiking or run/walks or in house workouts. If anything pops, I'll update. My son, 6’4” 248 lbs, got this vest to keep his core strong to wear firefighter suit/gear (75 lbs). He walks 5 miles in this (60 lb vest) and does stairs. The sandbag chambers adjust. You can fill each pocket or remove a few. Concern, if you remove, would be to keep weight evenly distributed. It goes over head and straps wrap from rear to front to anchor vest on torso. No smell after removing from packaging. It is designed well considering its total weight allowance. You have to be strong enough to place/remove this vest. I helped load the pockets the first time. The pockets fit the weights tight so I don’t think I’d be in constant removal/replace mode. Lode each pocket and leave it alone. We have female friends who can wear this vest as well. I have seen others in our neighborhood walk with this brand name vest which tells me it’s a desired brand. Read more
I'm 5'08" 170. I've had two lower back surgeries bi-laterally. So I opted for the 30lb vest. Although somewhat bulky, it fits and is well balanced during workouts. This is my first weighted vest, so tbh I don't have any other vests to compare it to. But the quality seems to be satisfactory, and really the only regret I have about the vest is that the weights are just sandbags rather than steel bars. Also, I just purchased this item only 2wks ago at the end of November 2025, and I paid $59.27 ($65.05 after taxes). I don't know why the price is higher all of a sudden. If anything I'd think it would be lower with The Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales. Read more
I love it. 60lbs great to add resistance to body weight workouts to efficiently increase burn. Fit is great. I’m a 5’6 150lb female and I can make the waist strap tighter as needed. I’ve walked and done some plyometrics in it. If I do test it out to run I’ll remove some weight. I bought this weighted vest for my brother who recently started training and he absolutely loves it. He walks every day and he is so excited to incorporate this into his routine. It like this a lot. I use it for burpees and man does it help. It's also great for calisthenic work outs as well. It stays firm to your body, and it's easy to add those sandbag weights, unlike the stone weights. I wish they have a vest for 100lbs, that would be awesome. Read more
