These ZENGVEE Men’s Athletic Running Shorts looked promising with their lightweight, quick-dry fabric and handy zipper pockets, but the fit and finish left a little to be desired. First off, they definitely run small — even after sizing up like they suggest, the fit still felt a little awkward, like they couldn't decide if they wanted to be gym shorts or casual streetwear. The material is breathable and great for sweaty workouts, and I loved having the three zipper pockets to stash my keys and phone without fear of mid-run disasters. The towel loop on the back is a cool idea, but in practice, it felt a little gimmicky. They’ll definitely get the job done for casual workouts or yard work, but if you’re expecting premium quality or a perfect tailored fit, you might want to keep shopping. Read more

These are pretty decent shorts. They look nice. Very lightweight fabric, with a moderate amount of stretch. I usually wear a medium and that's what I got. They fit, but I'd prefer a looser and/or stretchier fit for exercise. The waist fits about as I'd have expected, so I don't know if I could have sized up. My thighs aren't exactly skinny and when I'm sitting they're feeling stretched tight, particularly when I have something in the front side pocket like my phone. I have a narrow waist and bigger thighs. An odd combo for a dude, but it is what it is. They might fit better on someone with skinnier legs. Pocket and zipper arrangement in the back is a bit unusual. There's an open sleeve, essentially, for sliding a towel through. I can see that being very useful in a gym. The back zippered pocket though, is weird. The pocket runs horizontally, along the path of the towel sleeve. You wouldn't want to put anything back there without zippering the pocket or it'll fall out. Not my favorite design element. I probably won't be using that pocket. There's a bit of reflective design printed on one side, which is a nice touch. Nothing wrong with being visible at night. All in all, pretty decent shorts for a pretty decent price.
