Washed and dried before using. Did well in washer and dryer. Easy to put on mattress - But cumbersome because the mattress must be standing on the long edge to slip the product on. Smooth zipper. Sturdy velcro on the zipper pull tab protection pocket. It fits like a glove. I have a brand new LetMoon 12" mattress. I particularly like the top is not pretending to be a cushion. It is not too thick so I still enjoy the mattress top cushion. The material does have decent liquid absorbancy. I checked it while saturated during the wash cycle, and while putting in the dryer. It will absorb well. The backing seems like it will protect the mattress well. My sheets fit smoothly over. Not lumpy, does not interfere with the corners, well designed for sheets. Quite pleased. Bottom is plastic or PVC should not be used directly on bed springs as it could rip.

Only the top is 100 percent terry cloth cotton. The sides are cotton. The bottom is more plastic type material. Since I have a hopsital bed that has metal springs, I have ordered another zippered case that is 100 percent cotton on all sides to use in combination with this case. Otherwise, it is a good quality case. Zipper works with ease. It does have deep pockets. I intend to place a hospital TWN XL mattress and TWN XL mattress topper 3 inch size inside this mattress protector. I anticipate NO problems! It is a good price.
