This has held up pretty well. It has a really strong, large (and loud) squeaker. In some plush toys, you have to search around for the squeaker, but not this one. My pup specifically likes Zippy Paws hedgehogs. She has had multiple from this brand. My pup is 8 years old and 30 pounds and is not rough on toys. These are more like friends to her but the quality is not great. They usually last about 6 months before holes happen and then I have to do surgery. The size in this one is smaller so it fits her better and he also has a festive Christmas hat. Wish it was a few bucks cheaper but it was a Christmas gift to my pup. Read more

I asked my friend for her springer spaniels review of this toy which I bought 'Ducky' for Christmas. This is it :- ""I love my Santa hedgehog toy. The squeaker in the toy is the best one I've ever had. It is really loud, but it isn't a high-pitched sound ... it's a deeper sound that is fun to listen to. The toy is durable too. I have tried to pull the Santa hat off (even when Momma tells me stop), but it hasn't budged. I love to toss the toy around and squeak it over and over and over again. This was my rescue chihuahua’s first toy with us. After 3 years of hard play, the stuffing started to pop out one day. Since it’s her favorite (of the many such a cutie has acquired) we looked for a replacement last year and couldn’t find one. I was so happy to see them in stock this season and she was delighted with her magically rejuvenated friend. She has a basket of toys yet selects her “Hedgie” first for play, security, or to give me in the way a cat will proudly present a mouse to her human.
