Very lightweight shorts, perfect for warmer weather, working out, and just around the house. The front pockets are nice and deep, with good zippers and pulls on them, so keeps your keys (and possibly your phone) and other small items safe during active use. I said “possibly your phone” as you don’t want a heavy item bouncing around in your pocket when working our or running, but for day-to-day use the pockets are sturdier enough to comfortably hold even a larger phone without much bother. The interior drawstring keeps the waist line nice and clean. The shorts are easy care - machine wash cold water, line dry, and they dry super fast (these can also go in the dryer if wanted). One thing, these have a very odd size chart: (waist) size listing: L (32-42); XL (33-43), etc., instead of the more typical “L (34-36) range, and so on”, so a little difficult to know what actual size to order. I went with the XL just to be on the safer side and probably could have stayed with the L, my usual size and been okay. When measured across the front waistband, these XL are about 17½ in width, unstretched, equating to roughly a 35 inch waist. The fabric of these athletic shorts has a different texture than I was expecting, if that makes sense. They actually feel like swim shorts to me. I can see how that'd be helpful for running or athletic shorts, as they do dry very quickly. The fabric is also quite thin/lightweight. These shorts had a very strong, almost plastic-like, smell when I received them. However, it did go away after I washed them. They washed well with no issues with shrinkage or anything like that. They are lightweight and comfortable. The drawstring waist is nice and makes the sizing somewhat customizable. I ordered a size L, which is what I typically order for pants, and was happy with how these fit. They were maybe slightly big if anything, but I tightened the drawstring a bit to make them fit better around my waist. These have a loose fit on me, which I actually think is perfect for working out or just relaxing around the house. The best part about these, by far, is the zipper pockets!
