These shorts are comfortable, lightweight, and made of a material that will promote quick evaporation after getting wet. There are two front zipper pockets, each of which is deep enough to hold a standard phone comfortably (I used an iPhone 14 for testing). There is also one zipper back pocket, also deep enough to hold an iPhone 14. The material seems strong and durable, and well stitched. The waist has a built-in drawstring for adjusting to the individual. There is no inner mesh or other liner, just the outer shell as seen on the product page. The material is not significantly stretchy, so better to get the size correct, or slightly large, as there will not be much give in the fabric if tight. I love these shorts so much! These are perfect shorts for summertime travel, particularly if you're going to an amusement / theme park. They're super lightweight. They'll pack down in a suitcase nicely and also will keep you cool on a hot day. Also, they fit true to size. I generally wear a 3X and these fit around my waist nicely. By far my favorite feature is the zipper pockets. If you're active at all you know sometimes stuff flies out of your pockets. The zipper keeps everything nice and secure. I am a woman who wanted to try these shorts because I like the longer hemline and the zippered pockets. Unfortunately, the sizing is way off, and the shorts are too small based on the size chart. The shorts do seem well made, though, and hopefully I will be able to wear them in the future or pass them along to another family member. I love the zipped pockets, and the material is lightweight. I worry that they might stick to me on hot days, but if they end up being for lounging or exercise, that isn't a problem. Overall, nice shorts, I just wish the sizing chart was accurate. Read more
I got the Mediums and they fit great on a few body styles. A chunky 9 year old, who is between sizes right now, that is 4ft 10, and 135 pounds, and a thin framed man who is 145 pounds and 5 ft 5, and a 6ft, 175lb. The length comes to about middle of the knee on the 9 uear old, and just above on the other, and just above for the 6ft. The material is lightweight, but not see through, with an elastic waste that stretches but has a drawstring as well, the material itself is not stretchy. There are side slits to help when sitting, and the zippers on the side and back pocket have zippers, which is very helpful to keep important small items. The only reason I took off a star is because, even though they are of good quality and nice shorts, I just dont feel like they are so much better than others at a much lower price point. I have another slight variation of these shorts. The fit is just about the same and I would say I absolutely love these shorts and I will be buying more pairs.. I have a liposuctioned waist and thick thighs, so I picked a large and if it's me so perfectly. If you're on the bigger side I would definitely jump up to an extra large. I got these for my adult son and he absolutely loves them. He does a lot of training for MMA, Boxing and different arts that are very much physical. He needed shorts that he could move in, have breathability and not end up being soaked in sweat at the end (if at all possible). These shorts check all of those boxes and also give the nice addition of having pockets that hold plenty but have strong zippers and keep everything in them. The sizing is pretty accurate and they fit very well. There's an elastic waistband and there is the typical tie so you can tighten or loosen them as you need too. These shorts are lightweight and feel great when I'm wearing them. I love the material, but I've noticed the cut of the fabric seems to produce an odd poof in the front crotch area. Its almost as though there's too much material there and it gets puffed out when I'm walking. It's definitely odd enough to stand out, so unfortunately these will have to be at-home lounge shorts only. Read more
