I wish you could change the laces because these suckers are pretty annoying. But you can't swap them out because of the way the shoe is designed with just hooks instead of holes for the top two holes. They are supposed to be helpful, speed laces, but I don't find them to be very quick or good to look at. You are left with this big piece of shoelace and the speed lace device hanging out and flopping around while you walk. They run a litle large. I wear a 7, ordered a 7 and sometimes need a 7.5, but the 7's here are loose. I need really thick socks to keep them from rubbing and moving up and down on the heel. The media could not be loaded. I bought these primarily for hiking, but I find myself wearing them all the time. They're that comfortable. The style is modern and understated—they don't look like bulky hiking boots. The quick-pull laces are a convenience I never knew I needed; tightening and securing them is a breeze. These are a really nice hiking boot, but I would prefer a little more heavy duty....but the size 12's fit me great, and they are very comfortable. A bit pricey, but if you are looking for lightweight boots, these are great quality and should hold up under a lot of hiking. Nice tread, which is ideal. Read more
Great set of boots. These boots run narrow, so if you have wider feet, be aware! My husband struggled getting his feet inside and ended up ripping the loop off the backside (the loop that assists getting t=your foot inside where your finger goes in). Other than that, the boots have superior grip on wet floors/terrains! My husband appreciates the ample ankle support and the cushioning that these boots provide. These boots feel that they are made with excellent quality materials that do not look or feel cheaply made! Out of the box, my husband really liked these boots, by Muddy Vibe. (And I think you will too.) He thought they were nice-looking, smart, rugged and durable. I thought the rounded design makes his feet look smaller. You can wear these high-top inspired shoes for work (especially if you are on your feet most of the day), for play (hiking, trekking), or anyway really. I like that these boots come in a variety of great colors, from dark to light. They have a nice wide, rubber, anti-slip sole, that offers support, while the main part of the boot is fabric. I selected the shoe in dark (black), which means they look clean. The boots are fitted (fit snuggly around your foot, molding them) and run true to size (I wear and ordered a size 12.5). They are water resistant (he wore them in the rain and his feet stayed dry). And unlike traditional boots, these have no-tie laces, which is a very convenient feature eliminating the worry of laces coming untied. Overall, a nice quality boot that will be used frequently. Here is the biggest issue I have. The sizing is totally off with these shoes. I wear a size 10.5 but ordered a size 11 just to make sure, and what I got was not even in the same ballpark. I could not even get half my foot inside these shoes. The craziest part is that they fit my little sister perfectly, and she wears a size 9 in women's. The shoes are incredibly narrow as well. As far as construction and materials, they feel okay, if not a bit on the cheap side for a $129 pair of shoes, so I am not so sure the value is there. I believe I could do a lot better for the same price with something else. They are not bad shoes, but they are bad for the price, in my opinion. Honestly, the best thing they have going for them is the way they look. My sister says they are pretty comfortable, but since the sizing was completely wrong for me, I can't personally say how they feel. I have been on the market to find a comfy and stylish hiking shoes and I am glad i have found this. Very comfortable, stylish, great support, true to size and less pricey than other brands. The sizing on the page are mens size so i ordered my size in mens and fits just perfect. I am going to try to use it is snow and i feel like this can be used in snow because it is very grippy bottom and fabric is water proof so i am hopeful this works in snow too! Read more
