No ricer cooker out there like it! Has amazing cooking speeds and the rice comes out nice and pillowy soft. I would highly recommend this exact model. I love this rice cooker. I broke my previous one and wanted to get a made in Japan one, knowing full well that the controls would be in Japanese. The rice coolers made in Japan are of a much higher quality and I love my rice! I tried to get English instructions from the seller to no avail, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars. I’ve figured it out mostly with google translate and the help of a kind neighbor who reads Japanese since my online search for English instructions didn’t result in anything. Read more
We finally ditched our old rice cooker and purchased Zojirushi IH rice cooker after some research. I never liked the design of rice cookers available in the US, and planned to buy a rice cooker while visiting Japan, but gave up on a thought of carrying a big and heavy box onto a plane as a carry on (I was traveling alone and had a huge suit case already). Then I found this Zojirushi rice cooker being shipped from Japan. I was first sold on its chic design, but it is not just the design. I love how it cooks really tasty, fluffy, yet firm rice! It is yummy even when it's cooled down. It is a stark difference from the 13-14 year old 3 cup rice cooker we owned previously (quite shocking it lasted that long, but it's Japan made after all). Ok, maybe it's not fair to compare this to the old beaten-up rice cooker, but I'm regretting why I didn't make the change a lot sooner. So far it's working fine even with the different voltage here in the US. Read more
The first one I received had scratch marks at the bottom of the inner pot—it looked used, even though I ordered a new one. I returned it and got a replacement, but it still appears to be the same condition. Read more
