I love making all different types of rice and this thing work like magic. Its super simple to use and no need to guess cause the measurements are broke down for you in the rice pot/instructions/timer. Set it and forget it. So far so good. We do notice a difference on how much better the white rice comes out with this cooker. More fluffy and perfectly cooked. I will say however when trying the cook the black rice it didn't come out completely done. It was edible, but not like the how the white rice came out. We might not have put quite enough water in it to begin with, so I can't say for sure yet. The next time we cook the black rice we will use a little more water to see if that makes the difference. I bought this rice cooker because it's the same brand that I had for 20 years. Unfortunately it gave up after that much years of use. I gave a shot on buying and investing on another Zojirushi rice cooker thinking that this has been proven and tested based on my experience. Warning ! Do not buy this rice cooker! Its broken after 5 months. The rice is not cooking properly on the right setting. I only use this to make white rice and the same setting everyday. I reached out to the seller and they were not very helpful. They respond very slow and doesn't care about my issue. They will ask you to ship the item for repair at your own cost. I requested for a refund but still wants me to send the item for repair and pay for the shipping cost.They have poor customer service and does not value their consumers concerns. It was very frustrating communicating with them. I just got a new Rice cooker from another store and kept this broken rice cooker to avoid dealing with with the seller anymore. It cooks rice very well, and for the first few months it kept it warm and moist for several days..unfortunately it doesn’t keep it more than a few hours now. Any longer and it’s so dry it is inedible. I will trash this cooker and use an insta pot from now on.. Read more

Once I learned how to use it. Did not realize that all rice cooks at a different temperature. First couple of times rice did not turn out like we wanted. Have to read instructions on what kind of rice you are cooking. Read more
