these are not your mom‘s fancy, fluffy towels for company. These are very small, thin, cotton towels, the type that you would find in a cheap motel. I like them because they get you dry, and after being hung up, they dry in a couple of hours. If you need some good rags or a personal towel for summer days, this is the way to go. These towels were advertised as 100% cotton and ultra soft. In reality, they feel like they’re made of 10% cotton and 90% camel hair that’s been dragged through a sandpit. They're not soft, they're ultra thin, scratchy, and about as comforting as a burlap sack in a windstorm. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to dry off with the sleeve of a moth-eaten sweater from the 70s, this is your chance. I wasn’t expecting luxury spa quality for the price, but I was expecting a towel that didn’t feel like punishment for taking a shower. Tug them even slightly and you’ll think you're playing towel roulette: will it rip? Will it survive? Who knows? I’m sincerely afraid to wash them because I feel they’re going to completely fall apart. The only redeeming quality? They're very cheap. Which makes them... extremely cheap. These would be right at home in the most rundown Unsuper 8 on the edge of nowhere, where the towels have seen more trauma than comfort. Could have been a 5 star. I ordered the24x48" knowing that all cotton shrinks in hot water. I was hoping for at least 46" after washing. I received 24/25x44.5"! I needed these towels the day I got them so that they could be washed and dried. Needed by the next morning. This left no time to return. I'm upset that I did not get the Size I paid for. Reciving the smaller size that was cheaper in price is not cool. With my disappointment out of the way, these are super thin. Even thinner than expected. Once washed & dried however they fluffed out a bit and literally doubled in thickness. Which in all repects is still not luxury. They seem to be excatly what I wanted, Except for the length. They are as advertised in my opinion. They are Thin & quick drying. They did NOT shrink as much as expected. After washed in hot water and hight heat dry, remained a mostly 44" in length. That impressed me but still the incorrect is Not good. These are going to have a soft- rough texture. Again, just what I was looking for. This length will make great hair towels. They do have small odd pieces of different colored threads weaved in here and there. It's unsettling with the whole bedbug scare. Once I figured out what it was I was able to take a breath.
