Simply Amazing! Read more

I love this air fryer but I’ve only had it since November 2024 and the push dials are fading off— the markings are necessary for controlling the cooking process. I only use soft Norwex clothes to clean it. If they fade completely, I’m not sure how useful it will be 🧐 Read more

Excellent! Works great, clean look, super easy to clean. Wish I got it sooner as I had a large bulky air fryer with a class door and it was a nightmare to clean. Read more
The fryer is a good size and works well. However it has two issues. The first is the wearing out of the control surface decals. - also reported by other buyers. The second is that at the end of the cooking cycle the controls often do not return to a reset state. To get the electronic controls to work properly again the power must be removed and reconnected. I've had two of these Zwilling 4Qt units and both had the same electronics control issue. While it's easy to get around the issue, it is a nuisance. Seems like a poor electronics design. I had returned the first unit purchased for a refund and so far I am still using the second one. Read more
I found this air fryer to be very average in terms of size but found it incredibly easy to use and my test run of "frying" french fries from scratch went perfectly to grant a perfect rating from me, whatever that means to you. This capacity on this fryer is 4 quarts and the size of the basket itself is about 8'' by 8'' square. You'll be able to heat up roasted chicken from Costco in its entirety but you'll have to chop it up a bit to make it fit. If cooking for one person, cook in halves for a perfect meal for one. Further, I gather that you'll be able to put about 4 chicken bone-in thighs in a single batch from the size of the basket. The temperature ranges from 160F to 400F which is a bit lower than other products that can go as high as 550F on "grill" modes. That said, I've heard about foods cooked in air fryers producing acrylamide, a known carcinogen, on higher temps and I can still get a nice sear on 400F so as to not be bothered by the limitation to discount the product in the slightest. If there's one thing that I would nitpick about this fryer is that the locking mechanism for the basket lacks a bit of feedback. What I mean by this is that while the lock itself is snaps into place quite securely, the tactile and audible feedback that the mechanism provides is more nuanced than what we've grown used to from convention. So if the machine's not starting up, make sure that the basket is fully locked onto the main unit! The machine starts up as soon as the start button is pressed. You can open the basket during operation much akin to bread machines and again, it will pick up where it was immediately when it's closed back up again. Oh yeah, I guess there is one more. It doesn't come with a recipe book unlike other air fryer products but it comes with preprogrammed presets built into the machine in the same way that a microwave comes with preset modes for heating up pizza, fried chicken, and so forth. You can always set the machine manually if none applies to whatever it is that you're cooking. If it fits, you can cook it. 5 out of 5 stars, just make sure you close the basket properly. Read more

This digital air fryer is made by Zwilling J. A. Henckels AG, the German-based company famous for its high-end knives and cookware. So I wasn't surprised that the design and build quality is very good, or that it works as well as or better than several other air fryers I've used. The heat is fast and consistent, the fan is strong, the non-stick coating seems thick and durable, and the basket has a removable tray with rubber feet that prevent rattling or scratching. Though they allegedly are dishwasher safe, I prefer to wash them by hand, and notice that there are no sharp edges, unlike some other models I've owned. The gloss black design is attractive enough to always keep on your countertop, but note that the 4-quart footprint is 12" wide x 12" tall x 14" deep, so it will take up some space. There are 8 preset temperature/time settings (fries, chicken, bacon, pizza etc.) or you quickly can customize your own. The fan certainly is audible, but no louder than other models I've used. I prefer this dedicated deep basket style versus toaster oven air fryers because it has stronger air circulation and a more efficient design. While cooking, you just pull out the basket (the unit automatically pauses), quickly shake it to toss around the food, then reinsert it and the unit resumes its timed operation. Toaster oven basket trays are too hot and shallow to just grab and shake, so pieces have to be mixed by tongs or spatula, which takes more time/effort that results in greater heat loss and cooking interruption. Operation is easy and intuitive, but a manual is included with clear and easy to follow instructions in proper English (plus a couple other languages). There also is a QR code to scan for recipes. But if you are new to air frying, then do yourself a favor and watch a couple online how-to videos. Anytime I'm about to try something new (e.g. breaded zucchini sticks), I consult an online recipe and more detailed instructions. It's amazing what you can cook in an air fryer, especially if it's just for a couple of people, since it saves time and electricity versus warming up an oven. Read more
