Really effective for over-grooming, itchy cats!

Very effective, especially to stop obsessive grooming or chewing from fleas bites, allergies, etc. It is safe for the cats to lick and is kind of thin, so easy to apply. Recommend 100%! No stinging. Works great for a flea bite or dry skin. There's a neighborhood cat that was obsessively chewing to the degree she was losing her hair and getting open wounds. I gave her flea treatment, and used the anti-itch ointment around the area. She healed up quickly, her fur is growing back, and she is a happy kitty. Highly recommend! I have a neighborhood cat that had a bad reaction to a flea bite and developed some spotty scabs under her chin & ears and neck. When I found her the obsessive chewing had caused hair loss on her sides and there were raw wounds. The wounds and scabs I first cleaned with Vetericyn Plus Cat Wound Care Spray, then put the ointment Careful to not apply the ointment direction onto open wounds. I cleaned the wounds and scabs applied the ointment around edges & other places to stop the scratching. While waiting for the vet visit, I gently cleaned the wounds with with Vetericyn Plus Cat Wound Care Spray| Feline Healing Aid and Skin Repair for Wounds, Sores, and Abrasions, Provides Itch Relief for Cats Irritated Skin. Safe for licking. put the itch ointment where she was chewing. (I didn't put the cream directly on the wound). Within a few days she was almost https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M28PQLR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Read more

Worked quickly on a hot spot!

I have a lab who began scratching at the side of her head, near her eye and ear a month or so ago. By this time, I had taken her off her Vet's Best Allergy Tablets because I thought we were clear of any more allergy issues for the season. Well, I was wrong and her itchy spot turned into an oozy, itchy spot despite my best efforts of soaking, hair trimming and treating with what I had on hand, including bathing in hot spot shampoo and application of neosporin and silver sulfadiazine. Because the spot was so close to her eye and ear, she would only let me get so close with the trimmers or scissors, making it difficult to get her hair short enough that the medicine could penetrate beyond the hair, to her skin. Instead, only part of the medicine was getting to the actual skin, while the rest was a goopy mess in the hair on the side of her head. After doing a lot of research for products, and due to needing to get on this quickly, I put her back on the allergy tablets, ordered this cream and also an elizabethan collar to ger her fixed up. When I received the cream and collar, I cleaned up her spot (about the size of a golf ball), applied the cream, which is more of a creamy type cream, versus a stiff or waxy type cream, liberally to the spot and put the elizabethan collar on her. Approximately 30 seconds later and one look from those big brown eyes, the collar came off. She just looked too upset and I couldn't have the upsetedness slowing down the healing process, right??!! lol In any case, within a day or two there was good progress and she stopped scratching and was ordered to stop doing so if/when she did. I continued to keep the wound clean and re-applied the cream daily while finishing off the bottle of allergy tablets. My little girl healed up just fine and is back to her old self with no indication there was ever a spot on her face/head. The other reviews definitely helped me in my decision making and are spot on. I will definitely keep this cream stocked in my arsenal for any future issues that may arise with her or any of my other dogs and I recommend anyone else with dogs do the same. It's much easier to have some basic medical supplies like this on hand for when an issue aries, instead of having to scramble to research, find, order and wait for delivery when something does come up. Great product

I have a Frenchie that suffers from skin issues. His arms, by his privates and eye folds were starting to get gross. After using.zymox for his ear that was yeasty and having 100% success, I figured I would try this. This has cleaned up his fungal skin issues or whatever it was. Figured I would try this before I paid for vent and meds. Glad I did. Side note, his paws are still not fully recovered because he licks this off them. Read more

It worked!

My kitty had the weirdest “clumps” of gunk on both sides of her neck. Couldn’t figure it out. Tried all kinds of things to heal her, then it occurred it may be a fungus. Got this, applied and within ONE DAY she started clearing up. She’s all better now. Amazing product. Read more

Works great! Vet recommended!

Very happy with this product already! I was hesitant because of the price but it is actually a good sized bottle that I’m sure will last me awhile! My dog has large floppy ears and is more prone to build up and ear infections so I have to clean them regularly. Even with regular cleanings she does get itchy and seems to cause some sore areas in her ears when she itches too hard. My vet recommended to put some hydrocortisone cream in her ears after I clean them when she’s more itchy. This should not be used when there is an infection involved, just if there is irritation. There is no smell and very easy to place in her ears on my finger. A little goes a long way. After I clean her ears she is not itchy at all and usually she is a bit. I am very impressed and we only started using this recently. I don’t have to worry about her licking because it’s placed inside of her ears, but other reviews stated their dogs aren’t licking! I wanted to get one that was formulated for dogs specifically since I’m placing it inside her ears and this doesn’t seem to irritate or cause any issues. I’m very happy and hope it continues to help her! Read more
