Made me like my Dyson again. I have a first gen Dyson. It took me a while to learn how to use the curling attachments, but I found them frustrating and very time consuming so stopped using them. I have mid length hair past my shoulders and those short little cone barrels just didn't work for me. I saw this attachment and decided to give it a whirl. What a difference! The hair attaches so much easier and in larger sections so you can actually move through your hair quickly. Pixture of blow dry 1 attached. I got this for my fiancée because she already has the Airwrap and loves it, but she wanted a different barrel size for longer hair days. She clicked these on and basically said, “Okay, these actually fit,” which is the whole gamble with accessories. The auto-wrap effect worked the way she expected, and the curls looked more “soft wave” than tight ringlet on her hair. She liked the direction switch because she can flip the curl without swapping attachments, which apparently is a huge deal when you’re trying to get ready and not get annoyed. Her one complaint: you still have to get the section size right or it’ll grab unevenly and you’ll have one piece that’s perfect and one piece that’s like… mostly straight. I have an older Dyson Airwrap, so the biggest upgrade for me with this PUREGUST long barrel is the ability to switch curl direction on one attachment instead of constantly swapping barrels. That alone makes styling faster and far less annoying, especially when the barrels get hot. It snaps onto my Airwrap securely with no wobble and feels solid in hand, very comparable to the original Dyson attachments. The longer 1.2-inch barrel works especially well on long hair because it wraps more of each section at once, saving time and delivering smoother, more consistent curls. The airflow grabs the hair easily and does most of the work for you, so there's minimal manual effort involved. I can get either soft inward curls or loose outward waves, and the curls hold well throughout the day without frizz. My hair also feels healthier than with a traditional curling iron, since there's no extreme heat. Is it identical to the Dyson barrel? Not quite. The airflow feels slightly less powerful, and the finish isn't quite as premium, but the results are incredibly close and more than good enough for everyday styling. Oh my gosh…… this 1.2 inch long hair barrel is love at first use! I have a Dyson Airwrap and this is compatible with it as advertised. I find that the barrels I have are a bit short and a pain to curl my medium length hair. I got this as I wanted a little extra length. When it arrived it blew me away with how well well it was made. Not overly heavy but it doesn’t seem cheaply built either. The tool fit my airwrap so well you’d think it was an OEM attachment. What really did it for was the ease of how it switches the airflow direction. Just a simple twist permitted me seamless transition from one side to the other. There is no barrel changing needed to curl both sides!! The barrel has great air flow and it easily wrapped my hair up to it. The barrel gets plenty hot to do what it is suppose to but the top doesn’t get hot which was nice when needing to switch airflow direction. It creates beautiful curls and since this made it so easy I’ll be curling my hair more! For the price this can’t be beat. Overall I am very happy with this tool and would definitely get it again.
