Great Long-Barrel Alternative — Very Close to Dyson Performance

This 40mm long barrel attachment is an added accessories in a home with more than one Dyson Airwrap (we also already own the original Dyson long barrel), and I’m told that it performs by one of my kids that tried it out. It curls just as effectively as the Dyson version, with strong airflow, smooth auto-wrap, and consistent results. The bidirectional feature works nicely and makes switching curl direction convenient without needing two separate barrels. The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is the fit and adjustability mechanism. Compared to the original Dyson long barrel, I'm told it is a bit more difficult to attach and the directional switch on this version is a little stiffer and not quite as seamless to rotate. It still works—it just requires a bit more effort and precision. That said, for the price, this is an excellent alternative. It produces beautiful curls, feels sturdy, fits the Airwrap securely, and delivers styling results that are extremely close to the Dyson-branded attachment. A great value if you want a long barrel without paying Dyson prices. Read more

I have the original Dyson Airwrap with the separate barrels, and those always felt too short. I tried this one and I’m hooked! I love that we don’t have to switch barrels, and the longer and bigger barrel makes styling so much easier. It fits perfectly inside the original Dyson with no issues. The heat and performance are just as good as the authentic one, honestly even better than I expected especially for the price. The only downside is that the switch knob is stiff but I have figured out how to style both sides of my hair without turning the switch so it doesn’t bother me. Read more
