Stem has tarnished-not 14K gold

I purchased this item back in August and was pleased with diamond and construction. Recently, I noticed that the stem of the stud has tarnished . Clearly it is not the 14k gold as advertised. Whatever it was coated with has worn off/tarnished. I reread the description and it clearly says 14K white gold. Now I am questioning whether the diamond is real! Read more
