I have way too many sewing patterns and the storage of them has been an issue for some time. I have old boxes specifically made for sewing patterns that needed replacing so I looked at the Dritz pattern boxes and was blown away by the cost. Almost 9 bucks each - for cardboard. So then I started looking at plastic alternatives but again the cost was prohibitive. In desperation I entered in pattern boxes in the search engine for Amazon and these boxes came up on the list. The size was a bit larger than I really needed but I took a chance. They just arrived today and Wooohooo! perfect. They fit my patterns with room to spare. They are a plain white heavy duty box that will allow me to write on them the contents without issue. They are well made and took just a minute to assemble. Good quality boxes. I took one star from them because the handles are a little odd; I think I'll need to get out the knife and cut some of the cardboard away. If you use a wire rack shelf, as I do, you'll also need to trim the lower edge of the back so that it does not get "hung up" on the wires. These are trivial complaints, though. These boxes will hold 100-120 (depending on page count) boarded and bagged books, perhaps an additional 20-30 if stored without those precautions. The seller's estimate is a little high, I believe; if you try to wedge that many books in you are likely to crease covers, and over time you will discover rolled spines unless you are extremely careful. They're solid; the books won't fall through the bottom. Easy to assemble. Recommended. Read more
