After reading many reviews for this and similar filters, I was concerned about flow rate and taste. For people with cholesterol issues, drinking coffee that has not passed through a paper filter increases cholesterol, so these are a must. Water flow: I can say, so far, my experience has been unequivocally positive. These are thin enough that I did not notice any impact on flow rate, yet strong enough not to tear.. They fit perfectly, just a couple of mm wider than the base, so they covered the holes completely and pop out easily for cleaning the portafilter. Taste: My main concern was maintaining the quality of the coffee. I did not notice any difference, nor did I need to adjust the grind. The crema was just as lovely as always. These were fairly inexpensive, but I will try some other brands for comparison, as I will go through these in about 8 months. That said, I would buy these again. Read more

The paper filters work well in my Double Cup Coffee 51mm Pressurized Porous Filter Strainer. The paper filters the oil from the Espresso & also makes the stainless steel filter cup easier to clean with less cleanup mess. Read more

We use these every day to keep down the grit in our stovetop espresso maker. They work nicely and actually help to clean out the pot easier. I simply open up the pot and use the filter on the top to grab the filter on the bottom, and the filters with every ground in between go right into the compost bin.
