I didn't know I needed this until....I received this for Christmas and started to use it several times a day. I like the stirring tool, it breaks up and helps to level the grounds. The ring that sits atop the portafilter is useful to not make a mess. But I would say that the filter disk is the most useful for making a real great cup. My friend that bought this for me, took the hint that I wanted it, that is how I got this for Christmas.
