I love this little WETIE Air Fryer as just a good size for living along. I am a Senior Citizen and love to try new appliances. I have the smallest Air Fryer but needed the next size up. When first taking it out to try, was surprised when the big lid popped up to open the heating coils. Instead of pull out fry pan as in other models, was a little concerned about that. Good to find the basket was good size as wanted to try it for baking. First thing I tried was muffins and worked great even checked out the baking window to see it bake. I am of old school so these new appliances are amazing and speed up your time preparing food.. This WETIE air fryer is so easy to use so I use the Do-it-yourself button and adjust my heating and timer to fit the baking and frying, so it worked good on the chicken too. Great price so give this one a trial run. Read more

Best kitchen appliance I have. It has changed my life. A few of my friends had to get one too. Heat level is good and food taste good. I have tried so many different recipes and they all turned out great. If in a hurry, this is great and does the job. Great buy. Read more

We used it almost daily for 2 or 3 years. The only reason I gave less than 5 stars is, the handle broke and there was no way to replace it. It overheated sometimes and shut off. I would buy it again. Read more

We bought this roughly a year ago to replace our old Farberware air fryer. Our favorite use is for breakfast potatoes, lightly sprayed with avocado oil, then tossed in Lipton Recipe Secrets (Garlic & Herb flavor). But I've also roasted boneless spare ribs and chicken thighs, frozen fries, and frankfurters (they get a gorgeous "char" like on the grill but much faster). My husband has *never* been crazy about baked potatoes because with our work schedules, I used to microwave them. Nuking them may give you fast, "done" potatoes, but never good potatoes. Now we can enjoy those crispy-skinned babies in 30-40 minutes. Husband literally requests them once a week now. We also make slices of garlic bread and "Texas toast" without heating up the kitchen in this relentless summer heat. Some items take a little longer to cook in this model than they did in our old Farberware; however, this difference is to be expected with the differences in their designs. (I found a recipe for air-fryer Brussels sprouts w/garlic aioli dip, which I hope to make this week sometime. The recipe states that frozen sprouts can be used without problems, as long as cooking time is increased. Am anxious to test this, but it makes sense that these should work - steak fries are also frozen when you dump them in, but they're golden brown and delicious when they come out.) This air fryer has a window that allows you to keep an eye on your food as it cooks. For clean-up, you simply lift out the pan - the handles stay cool during cooking - so cleaning it is no harder than washing a standard pan. I won't hesitate to buy another Wetie branded air fryer when this one wears out. Read more

The WETIE 4 Quart Small Air Fryer is easy to use. It works without a lot of set-up or fuss, and clean-up is very easy. However, once the timer starts, there is no way to stop it or cancel the operation; even if one unplugs the unit, the timer continues. Read more

The fan died on our last air fryer so I ordered this replacement. Our old one was 6 quarts/1500 watts and was just too big for our family of two. It worked well, but we never took full advantage of the capacity, so I decided a smaller fryer made more sense. I despise digital controls on kitchen appliances, always the weakest link, so I was happy that this air fryer was all mechanical. I also like that the top of this unit is flat so we can store stuff on top when not in use, freeing up a bit of our limited counter space. At 1200 watts, it takes a little longer to cook than our old unit did. For example, in the old air fryer a serving of frozen tater tots took 15 minutes to get crispy, in this air fryer they take 20 minutes. Not a big deal and the final product is still great. That said, this air fryer could probably hit that 15 minute mark if it actually reached the temps it's supposed to. On first use I put an oven thermometer inside and it absolutely did NOT reach 400 degrees. After 30 minutes the highest reading I got was ~385. As you can see in the picture, the dial doesn't even turn all the way to 400 when maxed out. But that's just bad manufacturing...it should still reach 400 degrees when cooking, and it does not. With the smaller cooking chamber it still gets the job done in reasonable time, so we're not going to return it. My other gripe is that this air fryer is SO lightweight that it's hard to open and close without moving the whole unit across the kitchen counter. The little rubber feet don't do anything to keep it in place and the top of the unit does get hot, necessitating the use of an oven mitt or dish towel to hold the unit down to open it when stirring mid-cook. A great improvement would be to add little suction cups to the base to keep it from sliding around. I have other kitchen appliances with this feature and it works great, I might try to mod it myself. The Amazon price for this air fryer is $60. There's currently a 17% off coupon bring the price down to $50. My personal opinion is that it's worth about $40. 3 stars (really 2.5 but I'm feeling generous.) Read more
