Perfect! Easy to use, and the auto-shutoff feature is fantastic because I always forget to turn it off. The timer shut-off function has been a lifesaver. I love setting the morning timer, and the brewing results are excellent—I wake up to a rich, aromatic cup of coffee. The coffee stays hot for a long time. I prefer my coffee piping hot. I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase. The 12-cup capacity is perfect for daily coffee drinkers like me. Read more

Poor packaging. When unpacking the appliance, the pot fell out and broke. I ended up using my old pot from my previous one. The measurements on the pot and the water reservoir don’t match. It says 12 cups, but it’s less. The hot plate does not keep the coffee hot. It is luke warm at best. DO NOT BUY. It’s a complete waste of money. Read more

This pot actually makes a decent cup of coffee for being so inexpensive. The tape that was used in packing left a patch of glue that will not come off, even when I used rubbing alcohol. It is very light, being mostly made of plastic, so when I used a little bit of force it moved across the counter very quickly. Thankfully, the carafe was not in it at the time. The inner screen is made of plastic and fabric, is very fine, and leaves almost no fine coffee in the cup. The screen and its holder sit in the top very loosely, but when the top is down, everything works like it is supposed to. There was a small amount of plastic smell just at the beginning, but went away within a couple of days. There is a discrepancy in the markings, and the pot actually holds closer to 10 cups. The panel in front is clear and easy read. It works properly, with one caveat, the time is a 24 hour clock, which I rarely deal with, so I have not tried to set it for a delayed start. Everything was in great condition when I received it. It has a fairly short cord so it works perfectly on my countertop, without dealing with a lot of cord getting in the way. It is really easy to use, and starts dripping the water into the coffee quickly. The carafe tends to spill water onto the counter unless I hold it just above the lip of the water tank and not sitting directly on it. The spring stopper that drops into place when I remove the carafe to pour some coffee into a cup works really well and no coffee at all dripped out. It is very easy to clean. The included instructions state that it has espresso and milk frothing capabilities, but it does not. This is just a simple drip coffee maker. The coffee has a slight bitter taste, but that is normal for most drip makers I believe, and I did not find it offensive. I do use a more expensive coffee bean so a cheaper type of coffee may be more bitter than mine. The brew time is pretty fast. I measured the temp just as it was done dripping and it read about 165 degrees F. The hot plate got up to 250 degrees and then stopped heating, so it will not keep a pot of coffee hot very long. I usually only make enough to get used up within a few minutes, so I don't need to keep the pot hot for long periods of time. This also has a small footprint, so it doesn't take up much space. That is nice for me because I have to keep it on a smallish counter. Read more

SECPOEDR 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker. first let me say that I am a coffee SNOB! like I roast my beans, rest them, sort them, grind them, only use filtered cold water to brew my coffee snob! Let that information resonate within you as you read this review. Drip coffee maker. 12 cup, auto start timer function, led display includes current time. reusable filter, non drip basket. auto off function after 2 hours of being on. Stylish design, with simple dump and rinse cleaning. this is all very true. everything listed it does. Other reviews state that its slow, or doesn't keep the coffee hot. after reading these I decided to put this pot to the test against my old faithful pot ( mrC brand). Here is how it went. First we ran a cleaning cycle ( just water) to flush out manufacturing impurities. Now we measured 12 cups water in each carafe, checked against water fill window for pot accuracy. bot pots received 12 cups of ice cold filtered water. added 2/3 cup ground coffee beans ( grind was to auto pot consistency) old reliable got a paper filter and the same measured amount of grounds. now to be fair I did start old reliable 5 seconds before this pot. and then we waited. Old reliable finished brewing the pot in just under 10 minuets. ( remember she is recently cleaned) the SECPOEDR pot finished brewing the pot in under 3 minuets. and it was hot! like burned my lips and tongue hot! I dont know how the other people got a slow brew. this coffee maker is amazingly fast! but I know what about the taste. well the flavor produced is exactly that of the ground bean ( yes i tasted the beans to compare) there is no odd plastic flavor present or metallic taste. The ONLY thing I will say missing from this pot was the instruction manual to set the time. if you read this far with the machine off press the program button twice to set the time, with it on Auto ( blue light) press the program twice. other than missing instructions, this coffee maker may replace old reliable. at the time of this review this is listed at 20 dollars and I will say that this coffee maker does everything my expensive one does faster and cheaper is an amazing value. I use it almost every morning before the kids wake up. It makes a full pot fast, and the hot plate under the glass pot keeps the coffee warm while my husband and I drink our first cups and pack lunches. Function wise, I like that I can also use it to make a big pot of black tea when my neighbor comes over to chat, and the taste is smooth and rich for both coffee and tea. The buttons are simple, so I don’t feel confused when I set the time or the brew. The water window helps me see how much I am pouring in, which makes it easier not to spill. The inside parts lift out so I can rinse them in the sink, and that makes cleaning feel quick instead of like a big job. Read more
