I ordered this for my spare bedroom. We live in an older home and the bedroom was a later addition. It doesn't cool as good as the rest of the house so I thought I would try this. Glad I did! It's super easy to set up and vent out the window. All our guests this summer commented on how easy it was to set and how well it worked cooling the room. It has a remote control included and that was a plus! It's kinda set it and forget it! You can set a timer or set for a specific temperature, and it reaches that temperature and cuts the compressor off. Good quality and not a bad price! Read more

This thing is so easy to set up, I thought I was missing steps. You pop the vent adapter into a sliding window (mine opens vertically, no drama), close the window, plug it into a regular outlet, and boom…instant climate control. I live in a house that lovingly clings to a 76 degree baseline, but I wanted my bedroom (a cozy 13’x9’) to resemble a meat locker. This unit delivered. It quickly brought the room down to 65, and by the time I woke up shivering at 3 a.m., I was both impressed and mildly concerned I might need a parka. Let’s just say it outperformed my expectations, and possibly my central AC. Curiosity (and poor garage insulation) got the better of me, so I rolled it into the garage(a standard one car situation), and let it pre game for an hour before I started wrenching on the car. The result? Sweat free oil changes and a deep existential pondering of why I hadn’t done this sooner. A second unit for the garage is now under serious consideration. My only regret is the years I spent suffering like a baked potato in a metal oven. Draining moisture is simple, it comes with a tube to direct drainage, you can also just leave the drainage plug closed and drain when it is full. The whole system is tidy, quiet, and on wheels, so it glides around like it’s proud of its versatility. The interface is so intuitive I never even had to squint at the manual, and its minimalist design means it won’t visually crash your room like some awkward appliance. In short, this unit cools fast, runs quiet, rolls easy, and plays nice with your decor. If you’re tired of sweating through your chores or melting in your sleep, do yourself a favor…get one. Or two. Your comfort level will thank you, possibly in the form of spontaneous napping. Read more

I’d been searching for a dual-hose portable AC that could draw in outside air, cool it, and exhaust the heat back outside—without creating either negative or positive pressure indoors. The problem? Most options were either poorly designed, had hoses that were too short, or used an awkward “hose-within-a-hose” setup that popped out of the window kit too easily. This unit checked the boxes I needed. It arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and easy to unbox. Although it’s heavy, the built-in wheels make it easy to move. Assembly was minimal—attach the vent hose and install the window kit. The hose length is better than most I’ve seen, giving more placement flexibility. It also comes with a remote (batteries included), window hardware, and foam weatherstripping. Setup took about 10–15 minutes. I’m using it in my home office (about 400 sq. ft.), which has multiple electronics running—three computers, seven monitors, and two wall-mounted 55" Mini-LED TVs. Even with all that heat, it cools the room to 70–72°F in about 15–20 minutes and maintains this temperature without issue. There are no noticeable air leaks, and the noise level is about average for a portable AC—present but not disruptive. Occasionally, I get an E4 error, which means the dehumidifier tank needs to be drained. That’s likely due to the high humidity here in the PNW. I haven’t put it through the hottest days yet, but so far, it’s performing exactly how I hoped. It’s already saving me from running the central air all day to keep the office cool. Overall, excellent quality and a fair price for the performance. --- For anyone interested, the exact product I purchased was listed as: GarveeTech 12,000 BTUs Portable Air Conditioners, 3-in-1 with Remote Control & Digital Display, AC Units for Room up to 700 Sq. Ft., Smart/Sleep Mode, 24H Timer, Window Installation Kit, White The ASIN for the version I received was: B0DZSNVZH7 Read more

Daddy O’s review- it is a powerful unit and shot cold air immediately. Easy to install. I did have to cut the plastic where it vents outside. I just used a hacksaw because I wasn’t sure if a powered saw would break it. Put in my dining room bay window area so I did get window locks so no one can open it from the outside since it is a ground floor window. I have an open floor plan and I can feel that side of the house is cooler, my house air conditioner is over 30 years old and can hear that it is not running as hard now. Would recommend- Oscar Read more

This is a great unit. Easy to install and has a remote to set the temperature and also to shut off with a timer function. It cooled an 800 sq ft house nicely. This seems more efficient than a window unit. Read more
